Liven up the party with this Insignia™ NS-BK2TSS6 kegerator, which holds a 1/2 keg or 1/4 keg slim with a 2-tap system to ensure plenty of beer is available. After the night is over, convert to a beverage cooler with 2 wire shelves.

Good quality overall, problems with Thermostat
on March 4, 2016

The unit appears to be of good quality overall, and suitable for my needs as a home brewer. When the unit arrived I plugged it in and set it to max cool as instructed for the first 48 hours. The unit appeared to be operational, and at that time I discarded the original packaging. What I did not realize was that the unit's internal thermostat was not operational. The unit compressor continued to run continuously regardless of where the thermostat was set to, with the exception of off. The end result was frozen beer. I contacted the manufacturer for guidance. They referred me to Best Buy for return instructions. I wanted to arrange an exchange, a new unit sent out, and I would use the original packaging to facilitate returning my defective unit. The problem I ran into was the product appeared to discontinued, with no inventory remaining in the Best Buy system. This left me with the option of trying to cobble up some packaging on my own to return the unit, or keep the defective unit. I opted for keeping the defective unit, and using it in conjunction with a sensitive temperature controller. This works well, but cost me around $80 for my work around. If I ever want the thermostat fixed, it appears that will be on me.
