Laptop stand that really does the job

If you like to stand when you work, which I do more and more these days, then it's handy to have a tool that orients your laptop in the best ergonomic position. The ParcSlope does this. I was concerned that the laptop (a Macbook Pro) might slip off, but it doesn't. The quality of the grip is excellent. Haven't yet tried a pad, but anticipate success given experience with the laptop. A quality piece of hardware, too. Even the box it came in is very sturdy & reusable. Enjoy.

Guts not in the adapter I needed

So, I got to Africa and looked to use the pertinent adapter only to find that it was missing its guts. Not convenient, let me tell you. All the other adapters that came with the product had the contacts inside their plastic housings, but the one for Africa didn't. I realize that the best QA efforts can still end up with errors, but I have to give the product 2 stars because I haven't been able to use it. Tried to swap it out two days ago and there was no replacement available. Well, Best Buy is a great store and I'm sure I'll get the right replacement before I next need to use the product, but meanwhile I'm stuck sharing a less than stellar review. (Eh, not being able to swap it the other day actually gives me an excuse to return to the world's best toy store - Best Buy. I'm ok with having/getting to go back!)

Great Camera Backpack

Took a Canon MD Mark IV, plus 2 big lenses, on Safari in Africa, plus other travel there. The Manfrotto camera backpack was excellent and stood up to all tasks, including protecting from powdery dust. The pack opens on the side that's against your back, providing an extra level of security. I almost gave it 4 stars, instead of 5, because there's no tool for tying a tripod to the exterior (even though this is shown in the instruction manual!!) But, the product was so competent and easy to use that I give it a whole hearted 5 stars, and the value is GREAT! I had purchased a camera suitcase that was 4x the price that's not really any more serviceable than the pack.
