This is the most versatile mounting device for phones I've found. I use it in my boat for nautical maps and van/car/truck for maps, music, audible books, etc. You may have to try a number of different clip on locations to avoid diverting the vents downward, though. I use this daily. You can just grab the phone off the ball and go.

The big traditional Otterbox was just too bulky for pocket use. I had a number of odd accessories for extra charging, car mounting, etc., but they were just a mess to keep track of. Will rename your LAN units

The automatic setup renamed the IP addresses in the network computers and the system crashed. We had to spend hundreds of $ hiring an outside firm to come in to fix. The Geek Squad was too busy. We lost 3 days on the network! It does work now, but you might need an expert to install on a network.

Great for Mac Book and iPad together

I got this to carry my Mac Book Pro 15 and iPad in one case. Although thin, it holds the Apple Disc Drive, chargers, lock, and other accessories.
It's thin enough to slide under some seats or sit beside me in a normal chair.

Great for Apple products and mixed networks

I use it for:Document printing
I threw away an new Hewlett Packard device of similar cost and claimed features. The HP unit simply would not work in my network, wired, wireless or Air Print. I spent two weeks online and on the phone trying to get the HP thing to work with my Mac Book Pro, iPhone and iPad, but it never could print from my Apple devices.
The Canon just got plugged in and worked, right off the bat! Very high quality printing and photos and artwork and design printouts with the 6 color unit. Low profile and folding exit tray save space on device tower.

What's great about it: So simple setup, goes wireless, ethernet, or Air Print flawlessly
What's not so great: I suppose ink refills are somewhat costly.
