My wife has GPS installed as standard in her 2007 Honda so I am used to using GPS to get around. She has to pay around $200 every 2 years for data updates. There are many gaps in coverage. It is not particularly easy to use.
My Garmin is extremely user friendly, portable and has free data updates every 3 months. It's just what I need to get around.
