Does not work with Spectre X2

The Pen was sold to me as it was supposed to work for the Spectre X2. It was actually the third one I ordered for the new Spectre I purchased. None of the three worked so I had to return the Spectre and buy a Surface Book instead. I am going to try to never buy HP again unless no other option.
I am very disappointed in the whole scenario that caused me to lose endless hours downloading and re-installing programs from one unit to another due to HP not telling the sales force that "NO" pen or stylus works for the equipment (as of yet)they are marketing.
After the problem I see that I am not alone and it is a BIG problem according to the forums and Internet. It's like selling a car that no fuel will work for it.......
