Will this play work with an LG 65EG9600?
I know the 65EG6500 does not support HDR, but will it still send native 4k to the TV?
It should work with any 4K TV regardless of HDR compatibility. I am using it with an LG 65ef9500. You just need to disable the HDMI Anytime CEC which is a control feature to Samsung TVs.

What is the highest resolution and sample rate this DVD player can handle? Can it do 4K 60Hz with 4:4:4 sampling?
Yes. It does 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 sampling. I use it with an OLED LG 65ef9500. The picture especially with HDR is phenomenal.
