Plugged right into my harness, tight connection to speaker end. No problems, worked as designed--hard to mess up, as the clips on the end, matched the two different sizes on the speaker, plus I'd already watched a You Tube video, that told me which is which.
Hardest part for me was working up the nerve to start disassembling the door--taking off the window knob was the most tricky, almost lost the clip.

Old ones were tattered--I've always liked JBL speakers--they have a solid kind of bass, not a loose, kind. They sounded so much better than the original speakers, tho how much of that is the fact they'd both pretty much blown their cones, I don't know. Install wasn't bad--You Tube has an amazing array of "how to" videos about nearly everything. Had 2005 Cobalt, broke out the old interior speaker, drilled holes in the plastic ring, screwed them in, connected the harness connectors which I also bought, plugged them in, dropped the speaker in, and put the screw back, and it worked like a charm.

Good unit, quieter than my old, slight power use

It' a good unit, fits my 17.3 inch laptop well, the pegs well within the edge, and fans are whisper quiet, I can hardly hear them. Felt lines the bottom, with plastic along the edges, runs on USB power, which mostly tuck away inside of the unit. Primary feature is a tab you twist, to make it incline, or it can be used flat. Either way, there is a space between for the fans (2) to empty into.

What's great about it: It pops up to an incline or lays flat, your choice
What's not so great: If I had to complain I might have worked harder on the material on bottom, but it is pretty smooth.
