The Samsung 2.1 channel soundbar and subwoofer compliment our Samsung tv in the bedroom perfectly. You get a full range of sound that provides power and clarity to boost the effects of your viewing experience. The subwoofer placed under the bed gives that feeling of being "in" the movie. For the price and ease of use, you can't go wrong with this addition. High end features from a reasonably priced product is what we all want more of, and you get just that!

What is wrong with the set?

I have a Samsung DVD Home Theater System. We have had it about two years. Our TV, tape player and Sirius receiver hooked up to it.
Within the last two weeks, when we turn it on, it will play for about twenty mins and then shuts itself off. After we wait for about five mins, we turn it back on and within about 20 mins it turns itself off again...what is wrong with it.....

Sounds as if a speaker wire may have come loose and is touching the body of your receiver, thusly creating a short that your system shuts off to protect itself. Check all your speaker connections first. Next you may check to see if your system has a slow blow fuse that needs replaced.

Will this sound bar work with my 42" LG tv?

This soundbar can connect via an optical cable or by bluetooth. Most TV's have at least one of those two features. Just look for the Digital optical out connection on your tv component panel. Or with the smart features of todays tv's, turn on your bluetooth to be discovered and plug in the soundbar and subwoofer as it will easily discover and pair to your tv. You can also use the soundbar with any other bluetooth device such as an iphone.
