I generally like Bose products. I was disappointed that a company with as much experience would produce an item that has such limited connectivity options.
And even when connected, I was disappointed with the sound, especially in this price range.
I will look forward to Bose's quality standard products in the future and consider this as an oversight on their part .

I believe what you are asking about concerns Watts, not current. The higher the wattage a receiver has will determine several things such as how many speakers it can handle, what type and size of speaker, how good the clarity of the sound is and how much distortion you can expect.

I believe what they are referring to is that you get the same quality video from your Blue Ray with the enhanced sound quality for viewing and listening pleasure. Connecting the HDMI provides ease of use changing from one device to the next from multiple inputs and one to two outputs whether DVD, Blue Ray or 4K Blue Ray.

what kind of reciever would i use for a karaoke machine
wife has karaoke machine she plugs into tv. the sound not very good so i want to buy a reciever and speakers for her system whats the best kind of reciever for this kind of appilcation
It depends a lot on what kind of Karaoke machine she has and what kind of outputs it uses. It also depends on whether she will only be using it for Karaoke or if you want to use it for surround sound and music. The best thng to do would be to bring the owners manual in with you when you are looking for a new system.
