Generally speaking, if you lose all or part of a product, that's not grounds to replace it under warranty. This is the case, even if you feel it was lost due to their poor design. I had the Samsung Gear fit watch that easily undid at the clasp. It fell off one day without me noticing and was lost forever. I actually called Samsung and said it was only lost because their stupid clasp never worked, but they wouldn't replace it. However, you can't blame them for not replacing it because otherwise anyone could just call in and claim that to get extra products.
