Works but disappointing...

I purchased this, as I would have rather have had a Jawbone but Jawbone no longer makes Jawbones (go figure), in a bit of a pinch. I was heading out on a road trip and expected to take calls. I was looking for something that would noise cancel the background noise (as my car doesn't do that well if at all) as well as noise cancel so that I could hear the other person without having the volume at full blast.
I compromised and went w/o the noise canceling for my hearing, but it still had noise canceling so the remote person could hear me.
Paired it up... no issues. Buttons seemed to make sense and easy to find. Voice command worked when i tried it (although that was the last time I used it because I forgot it had it). It's little battery/charging station... nifty feature. First call was over an hour... and it seemed to work... and I assumed what little drops and skips I heard were due to moving along the high desert at interstate highways speeds. Overall first impression I was happy. The rest of the drive it worked just the same.
Now, I am home, and I use it instead of using of holding the phone or my wired headset. I hear pops and skips just like I did on the road... maybe the phone on the other side of this room is having issues with distance... so I grab the phone and put it in my pocket. No better. I have lots of 2.4Ghz in/around my apartment complex... so maybe that is upsetting the Bluetooth signal. However, my Harmon/Kardon Onyx speaker has no issues when connected to the same phone via Bluetooth in the same apartment in the same approximate location.
Next use was in an open park, in the evening, w/o anyone around. Same issues... now I am annoyed. I play with the HD audio settings, etc. No change. No matter the approximate distance or lack of RF interference between the headset and the phone I still get pops/clips/drops. The remote person also has the same experience with what they hear from me. The firmware is up to date on both the headset and the phone. Happens on both the iPhone 6S Plus and the iPhone 5S. No other active Bluetooth connections at the time of experiencing the issues.
Also noticed that the noise canceling for the remote side doesn't like it when you are talking at a large reflective surface from a long distance away. As in, laying in bed facing the 11' ceiling and talking... the other side hears me fading in and out in addition to the pops/clips/drops.
tl;dr
Device fit in ear, button layout, and battery dock are all nice.

Decent noise canceling earbuds...

For all of the noise canceling earbuds... these are probably some of the best. I really like the option to turn off the noise canceling and they are still functional earbuds.
However, as Bose noise canceling products go... I at some point have owned or still own the QC1, QC2, QC3 and QC15... and if earbuds are not a requirement any of those are far superior noise cancelers.
As far as Bose earbuds go... I recently replaced the Bose iME2 (cord frayed at the ear bud after many years of heavy useage/travel. Usage including using them in my motorcycle helmet. Sound quality in the QC20 doesn't seem as good... but since I don't have a working pair to compare to I cannot be 100% sure.
As a noise canceling phone earbud/headset... not super happy with it. It is actually disorientating/uncomfortable to use has hands free because of how you hear yourself. Hard to explain, but I don't have that experience with the QC2, QC3, or QC15 when I use them to talk on the phone/skype/etc. I think the best way to describe it is like it is trying to cancel out the sound of yourself where the others may not. However, turn off the noise canceling and it works nearly as good as the iME2 or any other handsfree earbuds.
As comfort goes... they are still more comfortable than most earbuds I have used. They stay in my hears. And nearly as comfortable as the iME2... but they stick out a little further so you will notice if you wear them under a helmet, beanie, etc.
Battery lasted 2+ hr flight and the proceeding 3+ hr bus ride up the mountain. To be fair... they were not on 100% of the time so I can't definitively tell you if they lived up to or beyond their specified time. I will be using them on a 14hr+ flight shortly... if I can update this with that info I will.
As a side note... and really the same as anything else like this... but very easy for forget that you left it on and find it flat dead the next time you go to use it.

Most Disappointing Thing Dyson Makes...

I am really not someone to give a review that lights a torch to a product I was disappointed with but this one seems to be worth doing so.
To start off with... tangle free it is not. Maybe the fluffy undercoat that my pets leave behind everywhere is not what they tested it for, but there was no obvious distinguishment for what would be tangle free. I was picking pet fur out of the tool almost immediately. Second... this is a turbine tool meaning it is powered by the moving air through the tool and not powered direct drive like the rest of the accessories I have. This really could just be a good and bad thing. Wont break when it sucks up your throw blanket or pillow... but will drag to a useless speed if not stop completely if there isn't enough air passing through it. I found if I let it spin up before applying it to the upholstery it worked better... but still quickly slow to a stop.
When you get down to it... the direct drive accessories cost the same and work better. Skip this item and move on.

It is a Dyson! I have used an old one of these before and they still pick up stuff that many new vacuums don't... even when you are doing a price point comparison. I have been eyeballing the canister version for a while, however, I just moved to the SF Bay Area into a ity-bity living space (miss you Robin Williams!!!).
The Dyson V6 Absolute Cordless... absolutely no disappointments with its function/capabilities vs the canister or uprights versions.
The direct drive head doesn't have the same spring articulated mechanism as the uprights... but that is ok... it will suck it up anyways.
Not quite as allergy friendly as the uprights either. When I use it my air cleaner kicks on to a faster speed because it detects the increased dust in the air. The Dyson Animal I used while I had the same air cleaner didn't seem to set it off.
Not quite as balanced as described with any of the powered/turbine heads attached. However, with the brush and crevice tools attached, it is much closer to being balanced.
The brushed motorhead works well on carpet and hard floors. Be careful on runners and loose rugs/etc as, mentioned previously, this thing will suck anything up including them. The "fluffy" motorhead works great on hard floors, I however don't use it as much since I have fluffy animals which makes the "fluffy" head something else to get pet hair out of.
The reason for the sans one star is because all of the accessories it comes with doesn't neatly store onto the storage bracket it comes with. This neat and tidy looking thing, sadly leaves me wanting when it comes to putting it away after cleaning my house. The other reason is the canister... pet hair and dust/dirt gets sucks in places that are hard to clean out and will start to make this look like it is out of some 80s scifi movie.
Quick pros and cons...
Pros:
It sucks... up everything! (even w/o pushing the "MAX" button)
Lightweight... and balanced enough to not be too awkward to use overhead
Battery lasts long enough to get through a 700sq ft apartment with long haired animals

My last two cents on the matter... if you don't have storage space because you live in tight quarters, this is awesome (aside from the clutter of accessories). If you have the room to store an upright but don't want the bulk of the ball/canister for tighter places to clean, get the canister. If allergens are a huge concern, they have allergy friendly versions but I think their upright or canister versions would probably do you just fine.

They are decently bright for accent lighting... reproducing nearly every non-white color you can think of. The base is white plastic with a gloss white painted metal ring and the front lens and is not adjustable., Light coverage area is based on distance from wall and reflectivity. A little bit of space between the lights and the wall reduce any specular color appearance of the more pale colors (like yellows).
The only things I didn't really like is:
The power transformer is at the plug, completely attached, and is about 2"x3"x1" which takes up a bit of space and doesn't give you the option of hiding the transformer in a different location than at the wall outlet and you cant fish it through anything small.
The minimum dim level is something like 10%... which means dimming on or off there is that sudden jump to/from the off level.

Protects the laptop from scratches and minor nicks. The back tabs on the bottom cover are the weakest part... take care of them when you install them. However, even with care they are usually the first part to break. But this is typical for most of the cases of this type for MacBook Pros.

3-Stars for the following reasons:
- Best Buy needs to fix the digital versions of these cards as the only reason I buy these at Best Buy vs Amazon (which their digital cards work) or put my CC on the account is for the Best Buy Reward Points.
- The cards need to have the QR code or the Kinect needs to read the 25-character code or the standard barcode
- Since most games are more than $50 there needs to be a card larger vs another potential card to the landfill for a single purchase.

I have had issues with the batteries not holding a charge for long even when it was brand new, but such is life with rechargeable batteries. But out of the 5 kits I have had my hands on, only one of those had to be exchanged because the battery life sucked.
The cable is long... but I do not think it is long enough. This really is only a problem if you choose to plug it into your xbox because you are having wireless interference issues, or the battery is dieing and you don't want to change it mid game. Most people's xbox is in the entertainment system 2m (6ft) away from the couch which doesn't leave much room for slack, cable routing, etc. The first time someone yanks on their controller (out of frustration or excitement) that is plugged in and crashes the hard drive in the xbox, I am going to be really upset... so I use an Anker 6 Port USB Charger by the couch instead.

It works just like every other Microsoft branded Xbox One controller. All of the goods and bads that go with that.
It is Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare themed with the Sentinel graphic in the center of the controller. Exactly the same controller that came with my Xbox... which is why I got it.
The only thing is that I wish there was an ATLAS themed one... even if it was just the logo (or the whole white/black/red color scheme too).

Decent Cloud Based Security Camera

DropCam has 1080p video w/ 130 degree viewing angle, mic for sound pickup, and speaker for sound output... not a bad set of features overall.
For me the daylight image was great, dusk/dawn image was ok, night vision was decent. The image wasn't as sharp as I expected, but good enough for what I wanted.
Motion detection happens at the CVR not the camera. Without going into the weeds, on camera motion detection would be better... but in the end, video based motion detection has its weaknesses. Expect false positives if you are trying to detect motion in areas where light transitions can be sudden (like car headlights), or outside motion through windows is visible.
The mic is fairly sensitive, I could hear the AC kick on. And the speaker is good enough that my pets could recognize and understand me.
The only thing I don't like is the lack of option to record to another location other than the subscription based CVR (Cloud-based Video Recorder). This is mainly for several reasons.
1. It is something else I need to spend money on every month
2. it is not available if you don't pay... as in yesterday's video isn't available if you didn't renew today
3. my primary use would be in a house... keeping this PG I am a single adult and things happen and you are not thinking if you are in view of the security camera dumping video out to the cloud and for that matter I don't necessarily want a visual inventory of my house out there. With all of the data breaches going on, you have to question the security of your information. My individual house and next generation firewall is less of a target than the big DropCam CVR service hosted in AWS.
