WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS FOR
I was given this cable and i have zero club what it does and what it is used for. Please help me
Well i will tray to make it simple to you. This cable uses to pass audio from dvice to another and able to work with multi channel audio like Dolby Digital. Depending on your gear if you want to get the audio out to a sound bar from your tv so this is your option but if you have a blu ray then you better use HDMI cable for both audio and video. I hope i could explain that right.

What is the screen resolution?
I see that this laptop has IPS but the screen resolution doesn't seem to be listed. I contacted Best Buy but the customer service rep couldn't find that information, either.
the bottom ones have (1366 x 768) Truelife LED-Backlit Touch Display with Wide Viewing Angle (IPS) and the top ones have (1920 x 1080). still good.

What's the battery life
intense use gives you almost 4 hours, and windows 8 came with display brightness adaptive feature which lets the system control the laptop display brightness through the ambient sensor. happy with it so far have't have any issues.

Mounting of 48Inch Aquos???
Can I have the 48inch Aquos Mounted above my Pellet Stove, and would it get ruined from my heat of the Pellett stove???
To be honest i'm not sure but i assume if it to close to theheat it would damage it! I would say find another place to be safe.
