RUNS FASTER THAN A REGULAR 3.0

Needed a USB Flash for Summer Classes at College...
I can tell it is faster than other USB 3.0 Flash Drives I have used. I have a Gateway NE 722 Series Laptop, and I can transfer files at 33mb per/sec using the PNY Turbo Plus 3.0. On my other USB 2.0, I only transfer at 7mb per/sec. My gateway laptop is a little slower than others, because I think the motherboard is a little cheaper. I have seen other laptops transfer at 2x the speed using my USB 2.0 on their computer, so my laptop is bit slower at transferring data.
All that being said, the Turbo 3.0 is over 3x faster than a 2.0 on my machine, using the 3.0 USB plug in.
I also have a new Western Digital 2tb External Drive - USB 3.0 that I just bought at Best Buy, and it transfers at about 89mb per/sec, so I think the Flash USB 3.0 transfers data just fine, for what it is.

I needed a gaming controller to play games downloaded from Steam @ http://store.steampowered.com/.
Logitech F310 Gaming Pad Feels Good... Almost as weighted as a PS3 or XBOX 360, and it feels just fine. I was worried that the rubber edges would be cheap and peel away or start slipping, but it is solidly attached and the paddles and triggers feel fine too. Plugged it into the USB, and my Windows 8 picked it up right away. The price is about 1/2 of a Microsoft XBOX 360 controller for Windows.
I can play first person shooter games on Steam that will use a controller. I also have a couple games that I had the OEM DVDs and wanted to start playing them again too.

I bought the ScanDisk Ultra II 240gb Solid State Drive online at Best Buy, to replace the original hard drive in my laptop, after it fell off my bed while I was napping. (Yes, I was lazy and laid my laptop down next to me while it was still running, and I am paying the price...) What got me really interested in the ScanDisk Ultra II was that it listed the benefit of having a "No Wait Boot Up and Shut Down", which was not a specific feature in the the other brand's upgraded models. (Also that it is shock resistant) IT IS SOO MUCH QUICKER THAN THE ORIGINAL DRIVE!!!
I am also glad I got the 240gb because I found out during the Windows 8 install, that the operating system wants a minimum of 100gb of space, so the 240gb was the way to go to have some extra storage. After about a month of using it (and of course filling up the drive alreay) my movies still play smoothly, and my downloaded games are just fine. My 2yr old computer now transfers files to my USB Flash Drive about 1/3 faster than before, and I am able to play fairly new games (about 1 yr old) without lag, even though my system is slightly above the minimum requirement for those PC games. I think the SSD has made a big difference in performance and operating speed. I just wish my laptop was new enough to have a SATA III hard drive interface, which would make it run even faster, like a USB 3.0 compared to a regular USB 2.0, but I can tell that there is a big difference compared to the original 1tb drive. I would definitely recommend this SSD for the budget price, and I am NEVER going back to an old fashioned hard drive... unless it is a backup drive.
(Oh, and don't tell anyone that I dropped my laptop... Shhhh, Not Cool...)

is this pretty good for my acer M5 481p-6644?
average price I should expect to pay geek squad for installment , new member or not. ( I figured 3337u cpu with this should run as good if, not better than 4210u) plus laptop is under 2years old. i heard the ram was already maxed at 6.
I just put the ScanDisk Ultra II 240gb in my Gateway NE72214u, which is near to the same specs as your Acer M5 481p-6644. If you have the original installation disks and the time, it may be fun to just try to install it by yourself. If not, just pay the dudes to install it and get on with enjoying it. Hopefully by now you have already had it installed, but if your still waiting, I would definitely choose this specific Solid State Drive, as it has a "No Wait Boot Up and Shut Down" compared to other brands upgraded models, and it made a big difference in the boot up, speed and smoothness of my machine. The ScanDisk Ultra II has a decent benchmark rating. Some other drives are faster, but you will not be able to judge that, because our computers are not going to get the top speed anyways as our hard drive controller is SATA II, and the SSD is configured for the newer SATA III controllers as in the new laptops built for the top speed with larger front side buses. It is like the difference between a normal USB 2.0 and an upgraded USB 3.0. I saw the transfer speed between my USB Flash Drive increase by about 1/3, and my movies and games are way super smooth now.
For me, I really needed the 240bg because Windows 8 wants 100gb for the operating system, which is way much more than Windows 7, so the 120gb drives are not right for me.
Hope you pull the trigger on this one.
