Decent sound for a decent price

I've been through a bunch of headphones, and these are purchased to replace my old kracken headset. It has pretty good mic quality (compared to the kracken) and ate very comfortable. We'll see how long they will last!

Great - but needs some so tweaks on your camera

I am a real estate photographer by trade and have found that some clients want interviews, voice overs, or just video with clean audio.
I have many friends in the industry that race about these little mics, so I jumped on it.
When I first recieved it, I was bummed out didn't include a battery for me to immediately plug and play. Once I got a battery in it and had it up and running I did a few test shoots with it using different settings and different locations. What did I find? The dreaded dslr hiss. At first I was bummed, however after a quick search on YouTube I found that if you just change some of the audio settings on your camera body, you can get clean audio.
I tried it, and sure enough, it works great! Clean audio, a decent pick up range and pattern, small size, and I am so satisfied with its quality that I feel it needs little to no post processing.
Definitely a perfect mic for multiple situations and worthy of being added kit but only after you change the settings on your camera!

What's great about it: Professional audio quality, decent pick up range, not overly complicated, has a low pass filter
What's not so great: Needs a battery (not phantom power), doesn't include battery, has "dslr hiss" (unless options are set correctly)

Good sound, iffy mic

My brother needed a new headset and we sprung for the kracken...
However over time we have found that the mic is not nearly good enough quality and will pick up sound from your earcups. Watching a movie while on skype? Better not, they will hear everything.

As I shoot a ton of real estate photography, a wide angle lens is a must. And shooting with my 5d, I needed a lens that fits on my full frame censor.
