A Great USB-C Ethernet Adapter

The Best Buy essentials USB-C to ethernet adapter is just what you need for newer computers if you are somewhere without Wi-Fi, need a more secure direct connection, or are gaming and need to ensure faster speeds with as little lag as possible.
The adapter allows speeds up to 1 Gbps, but my home internet is not that fast so I was not able to test that speed. It was Plug and Play though, as with every device I tried, all I had to do is plug it in, and it just worked.
The USB-C connection was sturdy, and won't fall out if you are using this on a tablet or laptop, which is also nice.
I do love the idea that this is actually a Best Buy product, that is backed by Best Buy.
The only thing I wish was included, but is not, is a low profile ethernet cable. When I say low profile, I just mean the easiest to travel with cable. This adapter is most likely to be used by people traveling, and having an ethernet cable with it would make it a much better package deal. That said, the adapter has a great price, and works flawlessly.

Compact, and Ready to Go!

I am loving the Epson WorkForce es-c320w wireless scanner. I have a very hectic work life, and I'm often on the move. Being able to bring this with me on the go is fantastic.
And my job, sometimes I am confronted with huge amounts of data that must be scanned. So much so that in the past, I have occasionally had a temporary assistant to help with this. Having a mobile scanner allows me to utilize downtime between meetings, etc., to get a head start on my scanning. I do not foresee needing another assistant to help with this.
Being able to use my phone to handle everything is amazing, and has made my work life so much more efficient. I have found the quality of the scans to be excellent, the setup of the scanner was quick and easy, and using it has been very convenient, which is a Paramount need for me. Having the option for color has been nice as well. It isn't a requirement for most of my documents, but it occasionally matters, and having the extra flexibility is great.
If you have a job or own your own business, and it requires lots of document scanning, this is definitely the scanner for you.

A Compact, High-Quality Dash Cam

This is a great product, especially if you drive a lot, have a commercial vehicle, or just worry about potential accidents.
The installation was simple enough, although some panels in the car need to be lifted if you want the wire to be hidden. That said, the provided tool made this very easy.
The image quality is quite astounding, and certainly clear enough to provide any evidence needed for a police report or insurance claim.
The dash cam is sleek looking and compact so it doesn't draw a lot of attention to itself, which is nice, as many aftermarket car accessories end up looking tacky and art very easy to notice.
Do you keep in mind that if you capture any footage that you need to keep, you should transfer it from the SD card quickly. This is because files will get overwritten as your SD card reaches capacity. In other words, if you get important footage on here, do not delay in backing it up.
The main downside with the Thinkware F70 dash cam is that it has a proprietary cable, and in this day and age, we don't need more electronic waste. Just make it USBC compatible, as we all have tons of USBC cables.

Don't Let Negative Reviews Fool You

The SimpliSafe outdoor home security system is a breath of fresh air. I recently had ADT come out to give us a quote for home security coverage. Not only was the equipment expensive, it did not seem to be as high quality as the SimpliSafe equipment.
I have seen several people complain about the amount of time it takes to get the live feed, some people say they are experiencing up to a 2 minute delay. I only have about a 15 to 30 second delay, and that tracks with any other motion controlled camera I have ever used. If you need there to be absolutely zero delay, then you need a wired system. The nature of this system mainly being comprised of wireless accessories that operate on batteries means that they are making every effort to save battery life. This is done by not having most of the functions of the camera constantly operating.
As far as I am concerned, set up was incredibly easy, but I would definitely recommend purchasing the solar panels for any of your cameras you are installing outdoors, especially if they are up high. While you can just recharge the batteries on your own, it would be a big hassle if you have them placed up high. I would highly recommend placing them up high to prevent theft or destruction of your camera.
I definitely recommend this kit though, as the two outdoor cameras included in the kit, when purchased individually, would cost about the same price as this entire kit.

A Great Travel Charger

The insignia 30 watt USBC wall charger kit is awesome. It is a no-nonsense, low profile high speed charger. It is not just the wall dongle, but it also comes with a 6-ft USBC cable.
The wall dongle is ideal for travel, as the prongs that go into the wall can be folded in so that they will not become damaged in transit. IT also fits great in a day bag or fanny pack, as it is compact and convenient.
Since the wall dongle supports 30 watt USBC charging, it can charge most any device very rapidly. While most USBC devices used to be limited to Android devices and headphones, we now see it expanding too many both PC and Apple laptops, as well as the 2023 iphones. This makes this a highly versatile device that can quickly charge many, if not all of your home portable devices.
Aesthetically, the dongle is rounded, so it looks a bit nicer than your average "wall wort," which is great. Also, the 6 foot included USBC cable is great, it feels resilient and tough, so it won't break or tangle easily.

A Great Gaming Monitor at a Great Price

My entire family has been enjoying the Asus 31.5 inch LED wqhd freesync gaming monitor. We've been using it for gaming, mostly with an Xbox series X and a PS5. The colors seem to match our high-end TVs, and the gameplay is incredibly smooth.
The smooth gameplay can be attributed to the 170 Hz refresh rate, as well as the 1440p resolution. While this isn't quite 4k, this also isn't a huge tv, so I don't believe that your average person, and possibly no one, could tell the difference between 4K and 1440p. In fact, with the size of the monitor, I think most people would be fine at 1080p.
The internal speakers in the monitor are as expected for monitor speakers, for anyone who is doing heavy gaming, it is recommended that you get some sort of external speaker setup, or primarily play with headphones and a mic.
The only change I wish this monitor had, is the number of inputs. It has one HDMI input and one DisplayPort input. I would have liked two of each, as these many people dedicated to gaming have more than one device they need to output.

I Love Rig Headsets, This is No Exception

First off, my whole family has been using Rig headsets for quite some time now. If nothing else, they just fit us better.
The new Rog 600 Pro HX is the perfect addition to any avid gamers arsenal. Especially with the flexibility of the headset, since it is able to work on not just PC and Xbox, but PlayStation and Switch as well. We have made the mistake of getting a headset that isn't compatible with everything, and without fail as soon as we get it we will need it for a system on which it will not work.
A staple of the Rig headsets is their boom mic. You pull it down to open it and turn it on, and push it up to mute it. This is the most convenient gaming setup I have seen, it makes it so quick and easy to stop broadcasting so that you can deal with something outside of the gaming.
The other thing I love about Rig headsets, and this one is no exception, is the ability to increase and decrease not just the in-game audio and chat together, but you can do them separately. It's so nice to be able to keep your game audio consistent when you need to turn down the in-game chat due to an annoying teammate.
These are an awesome headset, good for any gamer, and definitely a great gift.

A Good Entry-Level Streaming Mic

The Logitech G condenser gaming mic with LIGHTSYNC is a very cool mic for creating video content, especially streaming. Up front, I will say my biggest concern is that if you have two people streaming in the same room, this mic does not isolate enough sound for both of you to comfortably play in the same room. I wasn't even able to completely ghost out my own keyboard and mouse clicks.
That said, the quality on the mic is excellent. Everything comes through, and sounds like an accurate representation.
I appreciate that the mic comes with a desktop stand. That said, it can be mounted on a boom or and adjustable table arm, as well as some camera tripods.
The price is fantastic, compared to any other mic of similar performance. While this isn't the top of the line microphone it is excellent, especially if you are just starting to create video content or streaming.
My biggest issue with this microphone is the lack of a mute button, meaning that if you need to mute it you either need to do so in the PCs controls, or just unplug the mic.

Amazing for Work and Personal Use

Let me start by saying that the Technics EAH-A800 wireless noise canceling over ear headphones have made my life so incredibly convenient. Between being able to easily switch between two devices, and with the massive battery life, I am down to just needing one set of headphones for both work and personal use.
I work on the phone, pretty much all day. The Technics EAH-A800s are comfortable for all day use. The noise canceling is amazing on these. I used to always have to take a break from my work from home office when my neighbor was mowing his lawn, because people could hear it in the background. The EAH-A800s do an incredible noise canceling job, I feel like I could ride in a convertible with them on and have a phone conversation with someone.
I mentioned that I can use these for both work and my personal life. The reason for that is the massive battery life, as well as the short charging time should I ever forget to keep them charged. A full battery on these is meant to last 50 hours, and I can confirm that they will at least last more than 20 hours of solid use. That said, if I ever forget to charge them, a 15 minute charge will get me through 10 hours, which is to say an entire day of work. It also doesn't hurt that they are sleek and stylish, so when using them out in public, it doesn't look like I just have a work headset with me.
The included carrying case is great for traveling, as it allows me to ease attack everything in a backpack or suitcase, and not worry about damaging the headset, nor losing any of the included cables.

My Favorite Mice Just Got Better!

I have been a fan of the Logitech Pebble mice for quite some time. I have larger hands that tend to cramp up when using small mice, but I needed one that was small enough to be easily portable. That is how I found the first generation of the pebble mice.
The newer Pebble 2 m350 follows the same beautiful, curved form factor that was so comfortable about the original. The mice look great, and while I tend to stick with the gray or black versions, they do make other colors.
With the Pebble 2 m350, another great element of the design is that they are made from recycled plastic. Not a big deal to some, but a fantastic feature for others.
As I said, I have been using these mice for a while. This newest version allows you to use one mouse with three different devices, with just a simple press of the easy switch button. This is wonderful for me, as I typically travel with a work laptop, a personal laptop, and a gaming laptop. I know that seems excessive, and it probably is, but it also used to require me to bring three separate mice. Now I can bring one mouse or use on all three devices, which I am super happy about.
The Logi Options+ app allows you to customize the middle button, which isn't something I need, but I'm sure it is valuable for other people.
My wife is an incredibly light sleeper. When we travel, I typically still have a small amount of work to do at the end of the night every night. I usually do it when she first goes to bed, and this new Pebble 2 m350 mouse has the quietest click sound I have ever heard.
All of these features, paired with a 2-year battery life make this mouse an amazing, affordable experience for anyone.

I’m confused. How/ where does it get ota channels? Is there an antenna that comes with it? Similar to the digital antenna I use now for local channels? Or does it get the local ota channels and stream to device via the internet?
It actually has a coaxial cable plug-in so that you can use any OTA antenna with it.You should be able to use the digital antenna you mentioned in your question. That said, you can get a new, Smart 4k TV for around $300-$450, so I would go that route unless you are on an extremely tight budget. 4k, plus Roku is a much better option in my opinion. If nothing else, Roku isn't going anywhere.

Yes, the HP Omen 25 supports Freesync. The HP Omen 27, on the other hand, supports G-Sync, an alternative to Freesync that requires NVIDIA GPUs to work.

does it support AT&T Digital life and its Nest devices and thermostats that are attached to the system ?
It supports Nest devices, but you would have to contact AT&T about future integration, but currently it isn't supported.

No, not at this time. IT also doesn't support Amazon Music. It currently only supports Google Play Music, Spotify, Pandora, and YouTube Music.

Can this be used if the phone the main account is tied to is not at home? IE: Could my wife ask it to play music from Google Play if I'm not there? I'm not asking about family accounts but if this will remember my account if my phone isn't around?
