I recently purchased this Yamaha receiver after seeing it on sale in the Magnolia area of my local Best Buy. I was researching several AVRs in the $500 - $700 range and decided I couldn't pass it up after seeing it on sale.
I have the new OPPO UDP-203 hooked up to it and ultimately feeding into the Samsung KS8000. The 4K HDR picture is incredible and I couldn't be happier with the sound.
A couple of items to note during setup:
1. Ensure you upgrade the firmware on the AVR - it is very easy and doesn't take much time once you hook up the receive to a wired or wireless connection 2. Run YPAO but double check the results especially if you are running a subwoofer in your system - I had to manually change some of my speakers to "small" to ensure the best bass management 3. The receiver defaults to "Mode 2" and needs to be changed to "Mode 1" (4K mode) to pass through HDR from source components - you have to go through advanced settings but there is an easy walk-through located here http://faq.yamaha.com/us/en/article/audio-visual/aventage/rx-a760_u/11056/9403
