My desktop was bogged down with several years worth of gunk (kids downloading a bunch of garbage).
I wanted to reset my hp desktop to factory settings but wanted it to have the latest in ssd tech so it would have some zip to it. After installing the drive and reinstalling win 7 I couldn't be more happy. I read somewhere that Samsung was better but for the price I paid I don't think I went wrong.
With a 250GB capacity, this Samsung 850 EVO MZ-75E250B internal Serial ATA hard drive provides plenty of space for your digital media. TurboWrite technology delivers rapid read and write speeds for efficient performance.
The SSD Drive I purchased was true to reviews I read on various websites. It definitely sped up booting, computer operations and shutting down markedly. I should mention that I also upgraded the RAM on my older laptop Lenovo idea pad. I don't think that it matters much which brand of SSD you buy. Samsung is reviewed with high marks but comes at a premium.
I installed a Sandisk ultra II on my desktop without upgrading the RAM and was astounded with the performance improvement (not comparing apples to apples though).
Overall I am happy with the Samsung; just think I paid a little too much when comparing other brands.
