Great Computer/Gaming Glasses for Eye Stain

I owned a pair of gamer/computer glasses before, but stopped using them due to the yellow lenses and the color distortion they caused. Since these gamer glasses have clear lenses, I wanted to see how well they performed.
The style is nice and the smaller size is perfect for my average sized face. The frames are lightweight and have a premium plastic feel. The microfiber cloth and sunglass case are of average quality.
Since the lenses are not yellow and the frame is stylish, I felt comfortable wearing them out in public. I wore them at work in front of a computer for over 8 hours a day, and wore them while playing games before bedtime. I noticed that these glasses helped with eye fatigue and strain from long-term computer use.
I like the provided polarized magnetic clip-on, but found the polarization prevented their use with a computer outside. It would be nice to have a non-polarized option.
Since these glasses claim to help improve sleep, I monitored my sleep for the last 5 days and did not find any difference in my sleep patterns as these glasses claim.
If you are looking for a sleek gamer glasses which does not distort color and can be worn in public, then these are recommended. I would not count on these fixing any sleep issues, but they definitely helped with my eye strain.

Great FPV Drone, Fantastic Images, Goggles OK

I've flown first-person-view (FPV) drones before; however, those didn't have propeller guards and thus I felt more cautious flying them. DJI does a great job of making professional drones for the hobbyist, so I was excited to try this FPV drone.
Connecting the drone and updating its firmware was a little more complicated compared to previous drones I've owned, but if you follow the directions carefully, you can easily complete it. The goggles were a challenge to set up - the picture was very clear, but it was difficult to compromise between being able to see the outside edges clearly, versus having seamless overlap between the right and left screens.
A couple of things I noticed right away about this unit were the propeller guards and the rugged plastic. Immediately these gave me more confidence in flying the drone without wrecking it. I've never flown a drone with a motion controller, and I was unsure how successful I would be. I was pleasantly surprised at how shallow the learning curve was. The directional indicator was key for mastering this and maneuvering into tight spots that I wouldn't normally have attempted.
As you can see in my attached photos, as I was traveling about 20 mph under a bridge, the clarity became fuzzy. Taking the photo at that speed also caused it to freeze, and I was unable to see where I was going. Thus, if you want a motion/action photo, I'd recommend clipping a frame from the video instead.
One downside to this unit is that it appears to be more susceptible to wind, possibly due to the bulky propeller guards. I also had a couple of issues with the goggles. I could feel pressure on my nose due to the lack of top strap on the goggles, making them a bit uncomfortable, but not terrible. In addition, I was unable to see the various viewing options (rocksteady, horizonsteady, etc) through the goggles until after I pulled up the video on my computer. Finally, I recommend buying extra batteries, since one didn't seem to last long, especially while you're trying to build your familiarity with the area you're flying.
Overall, this is an awesome FPV drone, and I would highly recommend it. The motion controller is a fantastic add-on and easily outpaces the traditional remote control. The picture quality is impressive for being a drone.

Great Keyboard, Awesome Gaming Keyboard

I have owned a few good wired gaming keyboards, but after noticing how far wireless keyboards have come, I felt it was time to give one a try.
Even though I like the RGB experience, I prefer a great typing experience over lights. Logitech has managed to provide both experiences and eliminated the number pad for a larger mouse movement area.
Here is a simple rundown on the 3 different switches available for this keyboard: linear for a quieter environment, clicky for those who need a loud audible/feel notification a key is pressed, or tactile for a middle of the road experience with less typing fatigue than clicky.
If you download the Logitech keyboard software, you can update the keyboard firmware and personalize key command assignment, select Game mode keys (keys turned off during gaming), and personalize each individual key for whatever color of your choosing. You can also create a profile on the keyboard which can be saved to work on different gaming systems automatically. I have had many games interrupted by a windows key bump and find it awesome that the Gaming mode allows me to include this as well as other keys to block during gaming.

I like how you can lift the keyboard to 3 different heights and the included hand rest is very comfortable. Strong Motor, Great Value, Awesome Warranty

I owned another brand of garbage disposal and noticed a thick band of mold on the rubber gasket. I figured it was time for a replacement. I decided to replace my 0.75HP with this 1.25HP disposal. Even though I doubt I will ever need the extra HP, I wanted a unit with a lot of soundproofing to limit the noise.
Setup
I would only recommend a garbage disposal with the quick install ring system, like this one. It only took about 20 minutes to install this after removing my old unit. It actually took me longer to rewire the outlet, since this new disposal had a 3-prong cord and the old unit was wired directly to the wall on/off switch.

I found the noise to be a little louder, but the increase in noise was not all that significant since there is a half horsepower difference. My previous unit would rattle the sink during heavy use while draining, but the Smart Choice disposal does not.

I have pretty good faith that this disposal will keep going for years due to the 12-year warranty. Even though I hope I never need it, it is nice to know I do not have to worry about it failing.

Nice Bluetooth Over-the-ear Headphones for Kids

The best way to ensure absolute silence from children is to have a good pair of headphones. It’s even better when they don’t break the bank. My son needed a new pair of headphones, so I figured I would give these a try.
To begin, I think it’s wonderful that JLab is being environmentally cautious with the product’s packaging. I was able to place every piece of the packaging in the recycling bin.
Setup was easy and did not require any instructions. I pressed and held the power button until it turned on and was ready to connect, selected the product on the device, and I was ready to have some peace and quiet.
I used the online manual and getting started sheet to test out the headphone’s features. In trying to adjust the volume limiter, I referenced both resources but was unable to find the switch. The getting started sheet showed it to be under the fabric on the right earpiece, about two-thirds of the way up, while the website’s manual showed it located even higher. In actuality, I finally found the 85 to 95 dB toggle switch at the very top of the right earpiece, directly underneath the pad.
While the headphones don’t provide the best sound quality, it’s more than adequate for children. It also provides parents reassurance that these headphones will protect their ears for years to come. I would recommend this product as an affordable Bluetooth over-the-ear headphone device for kids.

Fast, Cool, Sleek Gaming Laptop

I like to play computer games, but I prefer laptops over desktops since I don’t normally sit at a desk. The issue with gamming laptops was that they tended to be thick, heavy and get hot during use. Times sure have changed, and I was excited to test this new sleek laptop out.
Setup was pretty standard and went smoothly. After downloading Xbox and Starcraft, I was ready to go. I wasn’t expecting to have any performance issues due to the impressive hardware this laptop has, but I was impressed with how cool the laptop kept during intensive use.
I normally use a gaming mouse, but the touchpad was accurate and responsive. The keys felt great to type on and was similar to my Surface Laptop 4. The lights display is awesome, and I had a great time playing with all the different settings. The display is crisp and clear and I couldn't be happier with this laptop except I would like for it to have a touchscreen.

Fun higher-end affordable scooter

I currently own a Razor E300 and have been looking to upgrade to the consistent power offered by lithium batteries. I have been looking for a scooter fast enough for an adult, but can be used by my kids too. This Hover-1 Jive seemed to be a good fit.
Getting this scooter ready was simple enough, but I had a little difficulty using the included allen wrench to install the 4 included screws. I would recommend partially installing each screw before tightening to make this process easier. It was nice that Hover-1 includes an air pump, but since it did not have a pressure gauge, I decided to use one which did. After charging the scooter overnight, it was ready to hit the road.
I was happy to see this scooter had 3 selectable speed settings to lower the max speed for my kids. The max speed is 16mph under sport mode. It was nice to have a reliable disk brake system and the cruise control makes the ride very enjoyable.
My kids were excited to change the board the color of their choice. At first, I though this feature was a gimmick, but in the evening the extra light on the board, with addition to the built-in headlight, makes it easy to be seen.
The only two negative things I could think of about this scooter is that the lithium batteries are not easily removable and you must kick off before the throttle engages the motor.

Truly First of its Kind Programmable String Lights

This is the first programable string lights I have owned and so far, I am impressed.
I originally wanted these lights for Halloween and Christmas, but after playing with them I will end up using them in my patio. I set them up on the 2nd story balusters to get an idea of what they look like.
Setup was very smooth and after the quick firmware update, I was ready to use the lights. The mapping on the app is touted as “the first of its kind,” and I would have to agree. I would not have thought it would be so simple to customize a light pattern until I started playing with the app. All you have to do is make a pattern with the string lights, follow the on-screen directions on the app, and the app does the rest. Even though the app gives a lot of preprogrammed patterns, you can even make a custom design or download additional designs.
I can’t state how impressed I was with the setup, but I was equally impressed with the brightness of the lights and how vivid the colors were.

Great Water Flosser No Strings Attached

This is my first water flosser and I was curious on how well it could clean, compared to dental floss.
My teeth are tightly spaced and many dental flosses I’ve used break during flossing, except Oral-B Glide. I have not been interested in a countertop water flosser since they take up my limited countertop space and require an outlet nearby. This water flosser seemed to help remedy these two issues.

With a push of the release button and alignment of the notch on the flosser head, I was able to secure the attachment quickly and easily. I first used the regular head on “Deep Clean” mode and the highest pressure. Even though I found these settings perfect, my wife felt like the pressure was too high. The total clean time was about 60 seconds, but I noticed the reservoir only lasted about 40 seconds and only was able to clean the bottom teeth front and back before requiring a refill. The cleaning felt amazing, and I flossed with regular dental floss afterwards to test how well it cleaned, and the floss did not pick up any additional plaque. I then tested the quad stream nozzle, but noticed a much weaker stream of water through my teeth. Even though I did not find that the quad stream nozzle cleaned as effectively as the regular one, it did provide a nice gum massage. The quad stream nozzle was also great at cleaning the tongue, as it was the perfect pressure.
I highly recommend this water flosser for the best oral hygiene. At the moment, this will not replace my dental floss entirely since I was unable to verify how much plaque remained. However, this water flosser will definitely be part of my oral hygiene routine.

Great Customizable Gaming Mouse

I have owned many wireless mice since I am not a fan of the trackpad on my laptop. This is especially true when I play games and require responsive movements.
I noticed this mouse is much lighter than mice I normally use. This seems to prevent me from accidently knocking it off my recliner arm when I get up.
It is worth mentioning that you must download ROCCAT swarm software to take full advantage of all the capabilities and customizations of this mouse. I like how many options for color customizing there is since I own a laptop which has similar functions.

The only issue I had with this mouse was updating the firmware. You must attach both the dongle and the mouse directly to the computer at the same time for the update to occur.

Can this blender grind nuts, and seeds, like chia and flax seeds into a smooth powder?
I had no problem blending any nuts into powder, but I had a hard time turning almonds into almond butter after the powder phase. The lack of a tamper left the mixture not as well mixed as my Vitamix.

How do I know if I have a C-wire in the wall where my old Honeywell thermostat was? Is there a way to make this work if I do not have a c-wire?
You require a common wire (C wire - usually blue) to power on the unit since it does not take batteries. I think there is a workaround, but you need to call Honeywell support to make sure.

How can I determine if I have the "C" wire? Do I have to remove the existing thermostat?
Easiest way to check is pull any batteries out of the old thermostat and look for a wire (normally blue) is connected to the C spot. If the old unit supports being powered by the common wire, then the unit will turn on without batteries. This will not work if the old thermostat requires batteries and a connection to the C spot.

Does this support the same wiring configurations as the Nest 3rd gen? I live in an apartment and cannot run extra wiring for the HVAC system.
Yes this unit uses the same wire configuration as the Nest 3rd gen. Since I only have one zone/stage and use forced air for heating and cooling, all I needed to use was the Y, G, W, C, and R spots. The ports on the back of the Nest 3rd gen look identical to this unit, but in a circle formation.

Only have 2 wires on thermostat where do I put them on new one if I run 2 new wires from a 24 volt transformer where do I put them on what terminals help??
I would call Honeywell support. It sounds as if your setup will not work with this unit, but would need more information to make sure.
