Great Multi-use Floodlight With a Great Camera

This product fulfilled two needs at once: having a camera on my driveway that doesn’t need to be charged, and replacing my old floodlight.
Three things need to be kept in mind when installing this product. First, make sure that you have an outlet box. When I removed my old fixture, I discovered that the electrical wire was not attached to anything, so I had to install an outlet box first. Second, the speaker and microphone are on the bottom of the device, so you can’t undermount it. Third, the arms that the spotlights are attached to are stationary. You can twist the actual lights, but you can’t move the arms. This can make it challenging if you need to fit the product in a tight spot. One unexpected plus is that three different sized screws were provided to mount the camera to the outlet box. The rest of the installation of the product was interesting. There were no instructions included; you could watch a YouTube tutorial, but most of the installation required downloading the Google Home app and following step-by-step instructions that way. After this, it was pretty easy.
As for the product’s exciting features, unlike a lot of other cameras that record whenever they detect any movement, this camera’s technology can distinguish human figures from other movement. In addition, you can set it up to recognize certain faces and remove the notification if it detects those faces. For example, I can make it so it won’t notify me every single time my children come home from school. The downside to this cool technology is that wearing a mask does throw off the facial recognition. As another positive feature, I also like how I can adjust the brightness of the spotlights.
The downsides to this product include the aforementioned stationary arms, which can make installation challenging, and that the monitoring range is mostly fixed. You can block out areas you don’t want to be monitored, but you can’t zoom or focus in on a smaller, up-close area and keep it that way.
Overall, this is a well-priced camera and floodlight combination product with advanced features. It was easy to use; however, I would’ve liked to been able to download instructions.

Great Magnetic Wireless Charger

I do not own many Apple propriety cables and I have many USB type C wall adapters, so I like to use the wireless charger for Apple Magsafe and Anker for my iPhone 13 Pro.
I used both of these magnetic charging pads and found both to be about the same, except the Anker was $10 cheaper. I was impressed with the quality of materials, including the cable. However, the Anker has a 5 foot cable vs Apple’s 3 foot one.
The only other difference I could find is that Anker discloses the magnetic wireless charging speed at 7.5W with iPhone 12 and 15W as a non-magnetic charging pad for other phone brands. I found it odd that Apple does not disclose the true charging speed as a magnetic charger as they only state the Magsafe can charge up to 15W.
Since there is not much difference between these two magnetic charging pads, except the Anker is 2 feet longer, saving $10 is a no brainer.

Great Blender for Smoothies and Dips

I already own a Vitamix Explorian series blender and have been very happy with it. I was interested in this blender as a secondary unit, to make personal smoothies and coffee drinks.
This blender is easy to use since it only has 1 knob to increase speed. I would make sure the knob is in the off position before plugging it in, as moving the blender can inadvertently switch the blender on. If it had an on/off switch, that would help prevent this from occurring.
This blender is very capable of blending most beverages and dips, but the manufacturer warning is to not use it for nut butters, hot soups, or grinding grains. I would look for a different model if this type of use is planned.

Setup and Use
These recovery boots are so well-designed that a manual is not really necessary. This system was on the market initially as RecoveryPump PRX2020 System but has been rebranded, and it has become more affordable in the process. While charging the battery on the pump, it is important to note that the switch on the back of the pump must be in the “ON” (I) position.
I noticed that if you don’t download the app before using the pump, the date defaults at 1/1/19 with no option to change the date using the pump’s controls. Once you download the app, the app will keep a log of the entire session (session type, pressure, duration, and deflation).
The app was the easiest app I have ever used. The unit was discovered automatically, and I had immediate access to modifying my session. Even though using the button on the pump was not too time consuming, the app made this task blazingly fast. There was even an advanced setting to individualize the pressure in each air pocket. If I accidently messed up the pressure gradient, the app would automatically correct this. The air pockets in the boots are overlapping, and the pressure in the lower pocket maintains to keep body fluid pushed toward the heart.
I liked how these boots had a full-length zipper to make it easy to clean and air out. There are options to purchase compression pants, vests, and sleeves, which can all use the same pump.

One of the best robot vacuums

I currently own another self-emptying robot by another manufacturer and am very pleased with it, but wanted a second self-emptying robot for another floor. I have had many positive experiences with Shark products and was curious on how this Shark AI robot would compare.
The robot vacuum looks a lot like its competitor, but has a large, raised platform for laser guidance (LIDAR). What makes it most different from its competition is that it has a bagless self-emptying base, as well as a single modified roller for cleaning.
Setup
After charging the robot on the base overnight, I was able to easily follow the directions for setup. A voice projected from the unit, but I had a hard time understanding what it said. The initial run to create a map was surprisingly accurate and didn’t take long. I like how I can modify the map to create No-Go zones and permanently block rooms I do not want to include.

I was very impressed with how quickly this robot cleaned all the rooms. I set the cleaning power to “Max” and it seemed quieter than my other vacuum at medium power. The Shark robot seemed to cover all areas while avoiding the areas I requested.

Great vacuum for hair

I currently own the Shark IONFlex 2X Douclean cordless pet vacuum and have been very happy with it. The only complaint I have is the roller accumulates hair that has to be manually removed. I was hoping this vacuum would fix that problem.
One problem battery operated vacuums have is the limited time of use before requiring recharging. I like that Shark made this battery removable; however, I wish they would have included a backup battery, since I find myself forgetting to charge the battery after cleaning.
This vacuum did a great job cleaning both hardwood floors and carpet. The boost trigger is a great addition, but seems to be designed for larger hands. The most awesome feature Shark included on this vacuum was the bristle head, which prevents hair from wrapping around it.

I would recommend this vacuum to anyone who would like a powerful battery operated unit that allows for swapping batteries. I would especially recommend this for anyone who has a family or dog with long hair. Just remember to pick up an extra battery or look for a package with two.

Easily adjustable camera mount

I have many Arlo cameras, and I wanted a camera mount which could easily be removed for charging. The issue I have with many mounts is the lack of adjustment to ensure the best camera angle.
The install was pretty simple: I just marked my drywall where the 3 screws went, drilled, placed the drywall anchors, screwed the base of the mount down, and lastly placed the camera on the mount.
I like how many points of adjustment this mount has to make sure I can obtain the best possible camera placement. This mount does not allow for a USB charging cable to stay in place and allow continuous power, so this mount would not be the best choice for that.

Good addition to a smart house

I have been taking steps to convert my home to a Smart House, such as adding security cameras, video doorbells, and a smart thermostat. I don’t normally carry house keys on my person, so I was looking for a keyless-entry front door set without having to change out the hardware. Enter the Level Bolt. According to the compatibility list on the website, my lock should’ve been incompatible, but I decided to try it anyway.
I have a Kwikset Hawthorne handle set with SmartKey. Installation was quite straightforward, and I had no problem getting the Level Bolt to fit within the installed deadbolt. I did have to cut away some trim to get the stripe plate to fit, however, but that was to be expected. One note is that the Level Bolt has to be able to lock fluidly, so if your deadbolt doesn’t quite line up (like you have to push or pull the door tight to get it to latch) and you can’t modify that, this product may not work for you. The Bolt is wifi-only; I wasn’t able to activate the lock remotely or outside of my network.
Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a keyless-entry without changing out existing hardware. However, I would’ve liked to be able to activate it remotely, and perhaps this will be possible in the future.

No longer worried about a flooded basement

I've heard horror stories from homeowners about pipes leaking or basements flooding. Many of these cases could have been prevented had the homeowner known sooner. In my own home, I've previously set up a camera on my water heater to check on potential leak situations while I've been on vacation, but would rather have had some kind of device that would alert me if there were any issues. This is where Phyn comes in.
Setup was simple: you only need to install the included batteries, download the app, connect your phone to the Phyn puck's wifi, and then follow the easy steps on the app. The second puck had a shortcut to add it to the app via QR code, which seemed likely to make the process simpler, but unfortunately it didn't work out that way. Neither scanning the QR code nor typing the code in was successful; I received an error message. I like that I can modify the alert settings based on humidity (below and above points) and temperature. You can also set push notifications, text notifications, or both. I also liked being able to see fluctuations in the humidity and temperature over a period of time.
Pros: battery operated/portable, easily connects to wifi, simple to use
Cons: hiccup with shortcut setup, no option for cellular service (problematic if wifi signal is lost)

Great Earbuds with Excellent Sound and Clarity

I own many earbuds and am always trying to find the Holy Grail. My ideal earbuds have active noise cancellation, and many manufacturers have started perfecting this technology. Thus, I was curious about the performance of these Bowers & Wilkins PI7 earbuds.
I was surprised that both the case and earbuds were larger than another pair I have. The PI7s have a cylinder shape that extends the length of each bud, causing them to protrude from the ears considerably more than a competitor’s pair. However, I quickly saw the benefit of this design because it made the buds easier to grab onto and remove from their case.
Initially setup was cumbersome. I followed the directions yet repeatedly failed to pair the earbuds correctly with my Pixel 3. Once I finally paired them, I tried to connect the earbuds with the app, and that also repeatedly failed. After multiple attempts I finally realized that my Galaxy smartwatch was interfering with the pairing.

In conclusion, once I troubleshot the Bluetooth interference, I found these earbuds to perform very well, comparable to competitors, or even better. However, you will be paying for this performance. I would highly recommend these for people who wish to listen to record players and other non-Bluetooth devices seamlessly.

Can this blender grind nuts, and seeds, like chia and flax seeds into a smooth powder?
I had no problem blending any nuts into powder, but I had a hard time turning almonds into almond butter after the powder phase. The lack of a tamper left the mixture not as well mixed as my Vitamix.

How do I know if I have a C-wire in the wall where my old Honeywell thermostat was? Is there a way to make this work if I do not have a c-wire?
You require a common wire (C wire - usually blue) to power on the unit since it does not take batteries. I think there is a workaround, but you need to call Honeywell support to make sure.

How can I determine if I have the "C" wire? Do I have to remove the existing thermostat?
Easiest way to check is pull any batteries out of the old thermostat and look for a wire (normally blue) is connected to the C spot. If the old unit supports being powered by the common wire, then the unit will turn on without batteries. This will not work if the old thermostat requires batteries and a connection to the C spot.

Does this support the same wiring configurations as the Nest 3rd gen? I live in an apartment and cannot run extra wiring for the HVAC system.
Yes this unit uses the same wire configuration as the Nest 3rd gen. Since I only have one zone/stage and use forced air for heating and cooling, all I needed to use was the Y, G, W, C, and R spots. The ports on the back of the Nest 3rd gen look identical to this unit, but in a circle formation.

Only have 2 wires on thermostat where do I put them on new one if I run 2 new wires from a 24 volt transformer where do I put them on what terminals help??
I would call Honeywell support. It sounds as if your setup will not work with this unit, but would need more information to make sure.
