Make extra copies of all your files with this Seagate Backup Plus hub. It has 4TB of storage capacity to hold years of pictures and videos or extensive digital entertainment libraries. This Seagate Backup Plus hub includes two USB ports and is compatible with multiple devices and platforms for cross-functional storage.
The Seagate external drive is compact with a low profile design. It is virtually silent to the point that I usually double check to make sure it's powered on. Plugged into a USB 3 port in my desktop I noticed file transfer rates of up to 39 megabytes per second. I also tried it in a USB 2 port and the transfer speeds were only up to 8 megabytes per second even though USB 2 is rated at higher transfer speeds. It must be the way it read/writes to the older port. If you don't have a USB 3 port on your computer you're not going to be happy with this drive. While plugged into the USB 3 port I was able to copy 90 plus gigabytes very quickly. I received no read or write errors during the entire process and completely satisfied with the overall performance.
Boost your computer's performance with this 480GB SanDisk Ultra II internal solid state drive, which features nCache technology and a SATA III interface. The enhanced battery life and shock resistance provide efficiency and durability.
The drive was easy to install and setup. I restored my system from a smaller capacity SSD. The image copy process was flawless and very fast which is why I work with SSD, for the speed and reliability.

Will this act as a replacement drive for iMAC?
Most definitely. You will need to create an image of your existing HD or just install OSX or higher from scratch
I have an HP Laptop windows 8.1 could u tell me if the Recovery D is good it has 2.48 GB free of 24.2 GB could I still upgrade to windows 10 n how could I get more or upgrade Recovery D if necessary thank you.
You'll definitely need a larger drive. You'll also want to use a hard disk imaging software from a boot disk to make a perfect copy before you upgrade to Windows 10. I like Paragon imaging software.
