Integration and ease of use are superb

The AirPods portability is amazing. Once you put it on, you will realize what a joy wireless freedom is. If you have iPads, an iPhone, or other Macs in the Apple ecosystem, you will be further amazed at how you can use the AirPods between each device with an easy selection.
If you fit into the normal Apple earbuds, you definitely should look into the AirPods. The AirPods are very much the same as the earbuds, but without the messy wires.
I also enjoy that the AirPods allow me to be able to still interact with the outside world since it's inconspicuous and allow me to be more approachable when compared to over the ear headphones.
The downsides are the following:
- The easy audio transition between Apple devices is only for one Apple iCloud account. You cannot share your AirPods with your wife's iPhone if she is on her own iCloud account without first disconnecting your AirPods, which removes the connection from your own devices.
- Sound quality is pretty much same as the earbuds. It's not amazing, but it's fine.
- You definitely need to test the AirPods in your ear first while jumping around. I noticed, when I need to run, I need to more firmly push it into my ear for a good fit. Whereas at a desk, I can haphazardly put the AirPods on without worrying about them dropping out.

Wonderful hardware and app needs work

The WeMo app, I feel could be a bit easier to program and also it's quite slow, but once everything is all setup it's wonderful. I have an away mode setup to randomly turn on various lights on and off around the house with random lengths of time between 6pm and 10:30pm.

Can I use these with iPod touch and Android?
Yes, you can use them with an iPod Touch and an Android. For the Android you will need to connect the AirPods as a normal bluetooth headphone. You will be missing any extra functionality on the Android though such as double tapping for skip/play/pause/etc..
