I wanted something cheap and nice for my guest room, and the Insignia private label from Best Buy fit the bill perfectly. I hear the 4k panel they use on this is a Samsung, and it does dazzle with its sharp display, although it's only 60hz. I've never been a fan of the 120hz Soap Opera mode anyway, so to me, this Roku-equipped TV was a no brainer at the price I paid.

I bought this for my new Octane theater seat row primarily because I wanted something with a decent reputation for protection of the power reclining seats, but also because the slim profile was conducive to the install I needed. In addition, the positioning of the outlet connector was perfect for my floor-mounted outlet box. No issues, except it's a little pricey for what is basically a fancy power strip. Four stars only because it's overpriced by about $20.

This adapter didn't initially want to shake hands with my Windows 10 desktop for some reason.
After uninstalling the driver and reinstalling a couple times, it magically worked.

Sweet machine with a couple caveats

Clearly, this is a classy machine. The profile is thin, the bezels are nearly non-existent, and the watch band hinge is sharp. Move beyond the aesthetics and this is still a competent device, with 16 gigs of RAM and an available 4K screen that is stunning to behold.
I've had my 910 for a couple weeks, and it appears to sport great battery life, thanks to the i7 Kaby Lake and its alleged extra efficiency.
So far my only qualms are the intermittent fan noise issues, which stem from software and not hardware related issues; likely the minimal applications Lenovo has pre-installed on the device. Thankfully, it is relatively bloat free and will not require as much time to optimize as other off-the-shelf systems I have purchased in the past.
I would give this laptop four and a half stars, being knocked only half a star because of the fan issues and the useless fingerprint reader.
Seriously, you are more likely to be recognized by a childhood friend in the middle of China than your index finger by this laptop, which is a stunning fail. I would say 1 out of every 15 attempts does this laptop recognize my well-trained fingerprint. My OnePlus 3T phone has a 95% success rate, and does it within 3 milliseconds. Why can't Lenovo build in a quality fingerprint sensor on this pricey, upmarket laptop?
Hopefully a software patch can fix this myopic security misstep. Even if it doesn't, however, it earns its solid 4.5 with relative grace.

Solid, well-built, if ambitious shaver

This thing is built like a piece of art. Very nice build quality and unusually complex for something that, for the casual user like me, seems like a simple device. I've never put much thought into a shaver before, but using the Braun has made me rethink much of what I used to know about shaving, which was admittedly not much.
In truth, I didn't need to replace my old shaver, a trusty bare-bones Norelco. In service for close to ten years, the battery miraculously still holds a charge, and it still provides a close shave.
I think I bought the Braun in a moment of weakness, having steered myself toward the shaving aisle on a whim after buying the laptop I'm now typing on.
Having used the Series 7 for over a month now, I can attest to the fact that I am indeed enjoying a superior shave, albeit only slightly. I think the most noticeable improvement for me is the amount of time I spend shaving, when I feel like shaving. Previously, the Norelco's dull blades resulted in a 5-10 minute shave session depending on how long I'd gone without a trim. The Braun is a lawnmower to my Norelco's kiddie scissors, powering through my coarse facial hair like a retired circus elephant attacking the peanut barrel.
The sheer abundance of features, including the curvy cleaning stand which is equipped with computerized debris sensors and a replaceable liquid alcohol-based cleaning solution underscores the frivolities packed into the unit to the casual shaver like me. You see, I was never a blade guy. I never bought a can of shaving cream or an expensive set of refills in my life. My little Norelco got me through college and then some, and I actually hate shaving.
The best thing about the Braun 7 Series is that it is German, like a 7-series BMW, but it's not as expensive. Also, it makes shaving less annoying, much faster, and gives you something to listen to in the shower while it's cleaning itself.

This is the best media streaming device, and you can believe me because I've tried them all. Chromecast was a neat idea but ultimately pales in comparison to the stick. Roku is a worthy competitor, yes, but I still think the stick has it beat.
The recent update with the quad core CPU and included voice remote with Alexa makes the stick stand out. The stick has put some distance between its competitors and ... the stick.

This Asus is a bargain. Occasionally Best Buy sells it for $230 instead of $280, at which point it's even a better deal. The hard drive is sizable and the CPU is decent for basic tasks such as web browsing and watching Netflix. Don't expect to do any heavy lifting with it, although I was able to record and edit audio quite easily. Hard to beat for the price, although there are cost-saving measures that become increasingly apparent the longer you use it.

I am very disappointed. I have just bought this laptop, but when I looked at the size of the hard drive in Windows, the size appears to be 237 GB and it should be 256GB as published. Any ideas? Thanks. p.d. Yes the fan is really annoying. :(

As for the fan, you can minimize this by adjusting a few of the background processes. I had to do this myself and it now runs whisper-quiet unless it is under load.

I need a computer that can easily edit 4K video (such as GoPro) in a video editing program without lag and choppy playback. Does this computer fit the bill?
Yes. the 710 with 4k and 16gb of RAM includes the i7 Kaby Lake CPU, which can really rip through most video editing tasks. I can't guarantee your NLE program won't miss a beat once in a while since all editing environments vary depending on the complexity and number of tracks you're working with, but I would feel comfortable relying on the 710 as a mobile workstation. I personally edit with Vegas 9 64-bit in 1080p and it is an absolute screamer with its built-in GeForce 940 MX. Hope this helps!
