I think it's well worth paying extra for cellular, especially with kids (hello car trips!). Be forewarned, however, that 16GB is not enough space if you plan on having tons of apps. Also, this line is being refreshed in March of 2017.

No -- the red model is a different model and significantly more expensive. It;s the model with steam (which Consumer Reports has said doesn't do anything)
