Malfunction after two weeks.

SanDisk is a good manufacture and has been around a long time. I was surprised to have this card fail on me after two weeks of moderate use. would have been angry had I paid full retail, but I got the card on sale. I lost my pictures but they were only test shots, so not a huge lost. I went back to best buy and explained what had happen and they promptly provided me and exchange. This card has been working for a while now so i think i just was unlucky with the first card.
Thank you best buy for standing behind your customers.

Those who have used this case for months, has it lived up to it'd non-yellowing? Also, in all other clear cases I've seen that it gets a water "rainbow" mark in the back of the phone, maybe from oil. Is that true with this one as well?
After some time it will yellow. I think it is the heat from the phone itself.

Windows 8 setup is asking if I want to auto upgrade to Win 10 when it comes out. Is changing OS going to void my HP warranty?
Historical reference: I upgraded my last HP to Win 8 from Win 7 and HP refused to help me after that. Basically washed their hands of the whole mess Win 8 left me in - siting "your warranty is void if you change the OS."
No it will not! However read more on windows 10 before you jump. I'm not going to go to 10.

Two drive bays? I,ve seen conflicting information.
Does the unit have an additional empty drive bay that a SSD can be added?

Expandability
This model comes with 16 GB RAM. What is the maximum RAM it will support?
16gb is max. This typical on consumer based machines. To have more memory capacity you have to go to the HP omen or get into the elitebooks business class machines.

How well does the mouse pad work?
Does the mouse pad have a more traditional (left-right click)?
Very good sensitivity controls. Synaptics touchpad.

Does this model have a fingerprint reader?
Nope. Those are not that secure anyway. Easily bypassed.

2.4GHz 5th generation Intel Core i7-5500U Dual Core
However performs better then Gen 4 quads as I understand. I feel they are on par.

Easily Removable battery?
Am I able to remove the battery to replace if needed or is it internal?
Yes all these laptops have easy replaceable battery. You slide a lever type device which unlocks the battery a ejects it out so you can grab it. May of theses batteries can be bought from many different Internet providers.

Will I void the warranty by inserting an additional 16gb ram?
No you will not void your warranty. HP provides a service manual for end-user serviceable parts. Like hard drives, memory and battery. Head over to support.hp.com and enter your model number. From there select your model of laptop. If you have issues there is a link on the page to detect your laptop that will get you in the right direction. Once that is sorted out, you want to hit the manuals section. There you will find how to do this and other things you didn't know about.

The overview states "Reads and writes to a variety of media formats, including DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW and CD-R/RW", but the specifications list Optical Drive Type DVD+RW|DVD-RW only.
