How is the sound quality?

I had a lifeproof case on my iPhone 5s and I loved it. So when I upgraded to my iPhone 6s I had no doubt I was getting another lifeproof, I especially loved how this case added less bulk to my phone than its predecessor. However I kept having speaker issues, when talking on the phone no one could ever hear me. This seemed to improve by taking off the case. I was just wondering if anyone else had had this problem? Maybe it is my phone or maybe my case specifically is defected.

My family could not hear me when I called them or answered with the Lifeproof case applied. Lucky I have an Apple Watch and used that to talk to people. But yes it is waterproof for underwater footage.
