When I started being an Uber driver, I had to do something to keep my phone charged while I was parked with the car not running while waiting for rides. I've been using this dash cam for about a month without any problems. I would have given it a 5 Star rating but it doesn't have an Onscreen Review feature. You have to take the micro chip out and put it in USB Reader and plug into a computer. The screen is small, but adequate. In is a bit hard to see in split screen (front and back cameras side by side) but it's really not important brcause it's not for viewing, it's purpose is to record, and it does that very well. Front cam resolution is great, rear cam is lower res, but still acceptable. For the price, a descent camera.

Does it overheat?
The charger does not overheat. However, it is a quick charger and my cell phone does get warm when it's reached 100% charge and is left plugged I .
