Fire stick works well ok my internet on cable. Moderate tolerance on glitches in the network. When the network is really glitchy unplugging and re plugging the power helps overcome bad network connectivity. If I have it off for a day I need to force a reboot by unplu and then plugging in the power.

i found this software better than a competing product years ago and have stuck with it. I usually submit my Federal online and print and send in my State since one is free and the other not. With the prices going up on this kind of software, I hope someday the state will be free. Watch and buy this product on sale if you can. I use the 1040 and schedules A, B, C and K without trouble. I have used this tax software for years. The federal is pretty good for typical items. The royalty handling has improved but is not totally user friendly. It helped get through all the Obamacare considerations. The MN state form interview has improved in dealing with additions to income where federal gives a credit or deduction but state does not. The state form interview needs to handle HSA better.

Works fine after initial bringup

The device works fine after configuration and boot process with the cable modem. Be sure to follow instructions on configuring the device. I had to unplug the cable modem and the wireless router and then plugged the cable mode back in after 30 seconds. And then waited a minute and plugged in the cable modem. It seems the wireless router was doing some self update and I left it along for an hour. I am an experienced computer and network person working in the computer trade and would recommend patience in setting up this device.

The product works as advertised. The iPhone app is convenient and synchronizes often with the step measuring. I like the app for seeing how many steps and stairs I have done. For increased monitoring of vitality, the web application shows not only steps but also other items you wish to monitor like water and calorie intake. The iPhone app helps with this as well.
I give this four stars since it required a computer dongle that goes into the USB. This takes up a valuable position in the USB slots and should be kept there since it is easy to lose. I would have preferred a blue tooth connection.
I recommend this product for people familiar with computers. If you are not so confident, have a friend help you.

Linksys EA6900 AC1900 Dual-Band Smart Router: This router is great for bandwidth-heavy uses like streaming video and online gaming. It has 3 external antennas to expand the range of the wireless network, and beamforming technology sends a focused signal to your connected devices to maintain a stronger connection.
How does it perform with Comcast internet?
My current router flashes orange for internet frequently - I have to unplug, wait 5 seconds, and plug back in. Comcast also "cycles" my lights all the time "to provide me with better service". I'm wondering if getting a better router will eliminate these problems.
In my experience, your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is having troubles. You need to get them to your location and check out the quality of your installation.
If you can attache a laptop to your cable modem directly and have troubles with reliability on your Internet service, that should be positive proof that Comcast needs to check out your cable and cable modem setup. A technician has many tools at hand to do problem isolation.

The wireless comes from the device. You will need local wireless ability on your other devices such as smart phones and laptops. You will need to attach the wireless device to a cable modem or other internet service provider.
Local wireless (802.xx) is different and distinct from cell wireless.

How do you determine which size to purchase if you're buying on line?
I'm buying this as a gift for a female and need to know if the small size would be the way to go?
Go to Fitbit.com and get the wrist measurement specifications. Getting the correct wrist size on your initial purchase will be a much happier experience than opening and returning. We we went into Best Buy and tried it on with assistance from a sales person.
