How does it perform with Comcast internet?
My current router flashes orange for internet frequently - I have to unplug, wait 5 seconds, and plug back in. Comcast also "cycles" my lights all the time "to provide me with better service". I'm wondering if getting a better router will eliminate these problems.
In my experience, your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is having troubles. You need to get them to your location and check out the quality of your installation.
If you can attache a laptop to your cable modem directly and have troubles with reliability on your Internet service, that should be positive proof that Comcast needs to check out your cable and cable modem setup. A technician has many tools at hand to do problem isolation.
