The unit had an incredibly strong odor of plastic

Immediately after plugging the unit in, the air coming out of it had an intense plastic oder. This persisted even after three days of continuous use. I decided that the plastic smell was more offensive than the stuff it was supposed to filter from the air, and I returned the unit.
What's great about it: easy to return
What's not so great: smelled like a plastic factory
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
