Failed after 6 days, unable to backup / powering

I have many external hard drives and this WD model is not a good one. Might be an odd case of a defect but it started lagging from the first plug in for a live backup session and failed shortly on high end MSI machine running Windows 8.1. This drive has powering issues and it has been previously reported. It has indexing issues, issues with identification, startup and initialization leading to fatal errors and eventual crash. USB interface and address assignments fail, can't recognize, can't format, can't properly partition. I would not recommend this drive.
