Office 2016 on windows 10.

Just needed the basics of Office; Word and Excel . I didn't need access, outlook, etc. This was the best way to avoid an annual fee. Also since this is a standalone system, I didn't need OneDrive. DropBox could be a solution if I ever need that.
If you are upgrading from Office 2004 or earlier, it will take some getting used to. The menu items and icons are moved and takes more clicks to get to some of them.
Only con for me is the animation. Every letter typed in Word shows up by way of animation instead of just showing up. It is taking a while to get used to. My brain and typing are faster then the animation and I think I'm making typing mistakes but I'm just waiting for the animation to catch up. I'm sure it is a setting I can turn off.

Steam Review? - this is a gift card

Not sure what I'm reviewing here. Steam or the steam gift card. I bought the steam gift card so I'm assuming that is what they want me to review. I paid $20 for a $20 steam gift card so the value is spot on. The convenience was a 9 out of 10. I had to go to a big box store instead of buying the credit straight from steam but I didn't have to enter a credit card online so that is nice. Steam has a fair amount of content....oh shoot...Not a steam review. My bad. The card has a nice card stock feel to it. Not too flimsy. It was fairly easy to scratch the cover off the code. No broken nails here. Good job Best Buy for delivering a product that was of a correct value ($20 for $20 credit at steam) and a product that would survive a laundry cycle (I'm assuming).

I would rather get these cards then put my credit card on my system. I have kids and this just makes sure that I have the extra step to ensure they don't spend too much.

Get reliable protection against power surges for your home office electronics with this 10-outlet, 120-volt battery backup system. 865-watt back-UPS features a surge energy rating of 354 joules. Connect additional batteries to provide an extended runtime in the event of a power outage. Dataline surge protection guards your connected equipment from power surges on the data lines. LCD shows various modes of operation, system parameters and alarms. Alarm notification signals you in real-time through phone or e-mail as critical events occur to maximize efficiency. Automatic voltage regulation steps up low voltage and steps down high voltage to levels that are suitable for your electronic equipment. Wiring fault indicator informs you of potentially dangerous wiring problems in the wall circuit.

Is there any technical skill involved in installation? Is is as simple as plugging it in and turning it on?

There isn't any technical skill really. The unit comes with the batteries installed backwards so that they aren't activated until you get the unit. You have to take the back cover off, remove the batteries, remove a plastic film from the battery, put the batteries back in. There is a flyer to guide you. Also the back of the unit has 2 types of outlets. One type uses the battery backup, the other is just a power pass through that won't have battery backup. They are clearly marked. You shouldn't have a problem.

There is software that is available to optimize the unit and monitor the status but it is completely optional.
