You wanna' take a chance?

So this charger arrived very nicely packaged with very useful accessories - BUT right out of the box the case was damaged - it was poorly assembled by the manufacturer. Looks really nice but an overall inferior, poorly made product.
This is VERY important to me - if you need to return a defective unit under Warranty - YOU pay the shipping! We all know these are heavy and the Post Office always adds on insurance - so you need to factor that potential cost into your purchase.

Very disappointing!

MODEL KDTE204E: I bought this specific model expressly for the third level rack. You may ask yourself "how can anything get clean AND dry on this very thin top shelf way at the top of the dishwasher?" The answer is very simple - IT DOESN'T! I put my flatware on it - I use Cascade Platinum tablets, Cascade Rinse Agent and the heat dry option. (My unit was professionally installed.) I turned the dishwasher on at around 8 pm - the next morning the third rack and everything on it was wet and dirty. Even stainless steel will rust if left soaking in water. My steak knives which are stainless steel from the blade all the way to the handle were rusted and ruined. The other flatware was stained with water marks - I had to use a special cleaner on all of it to get them clean.
The other poor design for me on this model is the silverware basket - it is one big unnecessarily HUGE unit that takes up the entire right side of the dishwasher - you cannot separate the compartments or place it anywhere else. The basket itself is way too high. When I put the flatware pieces through the slots they do not hit bottom so just wobble around. So I have to remove the tops and put everything into the baskets clanking around. It also is all wet when I open the dishwasher in the morning. For me this is a lot of wasted space.
The top rack on this model has NO options to reconfigure the tines. The sides have a very quirky configuration - I cannot find anything that fits into the oddly shaped angular space so for me it is wasted. The one cup shelf with stemware holder is not secure, impractical and poorly designed in a way that it is hardly functional. It is seated too high on the rack to accommodate a cup of ANY size! Again - for me just wasted space.
The bottom rack on this model has just ONE fold-down tine across the back of the unit. I had a horrible time trying to arrange my dishes and pots. I cannot get my coffee pot in there to sit at a slight angle. Also the way the tines are designed, they do not hold the dishes securely. Somehow the dishes are seated very shallow and maybe the tines are a bit too short. Any little movement like sliding the rack into the dishwasher, and the dishes shift one way or another. The bottom rack slides off the track WAY, WAY too easy!
The general appearance of this model is quite underwhelming, at least the white model which I chose. The handle which is some sort of brushed meta/chrome finish shows every little fingerprint and requires constant wiping.
With the exception of the one fold-down tine on the bottom rack - everything on this model is in a fixed position.
It does an O.K. job - nothing over the moon that any other dishwasher in this decibel and price range won't do as well with a premium detergent and rinse agent, but with MANY more options and much more functional.

This is an update!

So I have had these four speakers about 8 months. There is no denying they sound very good and the price is reasonable. BUT you better be in love with the way they sound because you can not alter the settings. I will predict POLK will post a comment apologizing for my experience and encouraging me to call Tech Support. There is at any one time one "LONE RANGER" person to take calls and even though they promise you "Concierge Service" I have waited over 45 minutes. They cannot always resolve your issues, and offer that "we're trying our best!"
When you turn the speakers off they do not return to the same volume level you left them at. There seems to be a default volume setting they always revert to.
They will at any time without warning fall off-line with the router or will not connect at all.
I have a VERY open one story floor plan with the Verizon Fios router centrally located, that should not be presenting any range issues for these Wi-Fi speakers.
Polk offered to assist me with this by sending me an additional Belkin router - which caused me SO MANY PROBLEMS. First of all the Polk and the Belkin power adapters are oriented sideways so they each took up three outlets on my power strip. I had to buy another power strip to accommodate them. Then utilizing an additional router means I cannot use the Wi-Fi Play on my computer because the computer and the speakers have to be on the SAME router. Then the two routers kept interfering with each other causing log-on failures.
Finally the Verizon Fios repair tech came to my home and installed a Wi-Fi extendert just for the Polk speakers, so I was able to get rid of the additional Belkin router, but the power adapter from the Polk speaker still took up three outlets.
Availability of music choices is extremely limited! I cannot get Calm Radio or many more of the other stations that Polk has been unable to get agreements with. I was having an outpatient procedure and my doctor has Sonos in the exam rooms - he was able to get whatever station I wanted!
I don't believe this product should have been launched until it was fully functional. It seems they are using consumers to test these speakers and suffer through all of the little quirky bugs. Updates do not offer much improvement to make up for it.
For the almost $500 I have invested in the speakers and peripherals I'm not feeling it was such a good choice after all.

It is soooooo disappointing!

O.K! We know Samsung are great TV's. But this afternoon I spent 3 1/2 hours on the phone with five people - all of whom could not speak English worth a darn. They kept shifting me back and forth and I
honestly cannot believe I endured THREE AND ONE HALF HOURS of torture and torment! One hour was just on hold - REALLY! Samsung support is just awful! They know less than I do! The main reason I stuck with Samsung was for the Customer Support - and I now discover it has just sunk to the very, very bottom of the competency pit!
To make things worse, I now discover the Best Buy delivery people screwed the stand to this 60 inch TV without removing the protective film, and now it's peeled and crackling and I cannot remove it because it's wedged in-between the stand and the TV frame.
I am on my last nerve with this whole experience. It's almost anti-climactic when you buy such a great product, spend so much money and when you have a problem the people you have to rely on have horrible communication skills and are not helpful. So, so sorry to rate this a "NO" just based on the awful customer service.

Discontinued

So, you know how after you've had a spray bottle for so long, the spray pump no longer works? This Monster kit is very old and discontinued and the pump spray doesn't work. I had to remove the cap to get at the liquid then the tiny unstable bottle tipped over and I lost most of the contents.
I gave Monster a call - they're local here in California.
I can't believe I was on hold for an hour and forty five minutes. I wanted to just hang up, but then I got curious just how long these people were really going to make me wait.
Finally someone gets on the line who was not interested or helpful.
It's just a little thing but very annoying if a company has such poor Customer Service.
So, I will just stick with the "other" company that makes very good products and has decent Customer Support. That is very important to me.
What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Old, expired merchandise

Diversify!

I very frequently use my little netbook in bed, which I have on a cooling pad that sits on my lap. I always had to have a light on so I could see, which greatly annoyed anyone else who happened to be in the bed at the time, including the two dogs.
I ordered this light to see if I could use it with my netbook. I got it out of the packaging and quickly noticed I could easily attach it to the cooling pad with some sticky backed velcro tape.
I positioned it where I wanted it, and it works magnificently! Anyone with a netbook or notebook can do the same. This provides just the right amount of light.
I just hope it lasts and doesn't break, because I sure am enjoying using it, and I'm also very impressed with myself for thinking of it!
What's great about it: Used it for another application.
I would recommend this to a friend!
