No Quality Control -- You Buy, You Roll the Dice

I get the allure of this computer: it's basically a solid machine made up of some well-known parts and configurations (in theory). The glass makes it look cool and it comes with a mouse and keyboard. I am convinced, however, that there is no quality control process going on when they roll of the assembly line. First, I saw someone taking there's back when I was purchasing one for my son (kind of a red flag, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt). When my son opened the box on Christmas morning it didn't work. Now, I happened to have two very tech savvy folks staying at my house for the holiday (the kind who build their own computers). So they gave it a look over. First problem they found was that the fan wouldn't turn on. Although, weirdly, it did if they manually gave it a little help. I'm pretty sure having to manually get the fan spinning with your finger was not on the spec sheet. Then, the graphics card failed. This is day one, hour one, on Christmas morning. As we looked at the build of the machine we also noticed it just had some odd, sometimes uneven screws and such. It doesn't seem possible to me that anyone bothered to plug the computer in and see if (1) the hardware actually worked, and (2) the computer would boot up. Again, this is why I'm convinced there is no quality control process going on. I suspect they run them off the factory floor as quickly as they can build them, and accept a certain amount of returns as the cost of doing business. So, if your'e willing to save some a few bucks and hope you happened to get a good one, that's probably fine. Just know you're rolling the dice. I returned mine and purchased a new computer from an entirely different (and well known) manufacturer.

Add this sleek and spacious Samsung 25.5 cu. ft. french door refrigerator to your busy household. Control the settings exactly how you want in order to freeze and chill food fast. Plus, you'll have plenty of ways to organize ingredients, making it easier for everyone to grab and go. Get great-tasting, filtered water directly from your refrigerator. Spend less time and money buying bottled water.

Multiple failures and poor reliability

Shortly after 12 month warrantee expired ice maker consistently had problems. It either didn't work, or ice clumped together in large blocks that you had to break to get apart. We lived with this since we didn't want to pay to have it fixed. Then a little over a year later the cooling system completely failed, and we woke up the day after Thanksgiving with a 62 degree fridge. Frustrating beyond belief that you spend money on something that's suppose to last and ends up failing in two years. I will be very wary of Samsung products in the future, which is too bad, because I have several HD TV's from them as well.
What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: reliability
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
