Best set of speakers fro the price.

My choice for some desktop speakers came down to the Insignia store brand and the Sony set, all priced about the same. Luckily my local Best Buy had a demo set up for all of their speakers.
The clarity and base response from these speakers were the best between the three choices I had before me. Being someone who works with audio equipment all day my expectations for these speakers (being fifty dollars at the time) weren't very high, however I was pleasantly surprised.
My only gripe is that while there is a volume controller that allows you to control how loud or quite you want the speakers and sub to play, once headphones are plug into the controller you do not have the ability to control the volume or a pair of headphones unless you plug your headphones into the back of the sub woofer the way the speakers are connected. Aside from that these are GOOD speakers for the price.
What's great about it: Good sound quality for the price.
What's not so great: Headphone volume cannot be controlled by the volume controller that is built into the unit..
I would recommend this to a friend!

You creep around the edge of the building, crouched low to avoid your enemy's gaze. As you edge closer to your target, you hear his ragged breathing and smile in anticipation. With him hostage, you'll gain all the experience points you need to attain the next level and move up the leaderboards. You jump around the corner, gun pointed straight at the Nazi's chest. "Surrender yourself immediately," you shout through the microphone as he slowly lowers his weapon. You step forward to collect your hostage, and everything goes blank. You've lost the connection. Your weak Internet connection once again comes between you and online gaming fame. Claim your rightful place in the Internet gaming community with the Powerline Networking Kit and the support of a strong connection. The Powerline Networking Kit supplies the connection you need wherever you want to play. Simply plug the included connectors into an AC outlet to gain the advantage of a strong, fast Internet connection up to 200 Mbps. The kit works by converting your ordinary home power line into an Ethernet line, so you can keep playing even when you're far away from your router. Setup is easy; simply connect your Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 to the compatible port and start playing. Both single- and four-port adapters are included so you can connect multiple consoles or even other Internet-capable devices. The handy kit includes everything you need to get connected and begin your rise to gaming fame.

Much better than WiFi for gaming.

Although having a direct to Cable Modem connection is ideal, This sure beats the hell out of relying on WiFi for gaming, Using the connection test on my ps3 I was seeing MUCH more consistant download and upload speeds versus wifi with a 100% signal. Download and upload speeds were consistantly higher than wifi as well. I would definently reccomend this if you are serious about having the best possible connection for gaming if you are unable to directly connect your gaming console to your cable modem. DONT SETTLE FOR A WIFI CONNECTION!
What's great about it: Plug and play, Much better connection than Wifi
What's not so great: Lack of swiveling power plug, may not easily plug into every homes wall outlet without rearranging some things.
I would recommend this to a friend!
