good but...

With 'after market' headphones, such as Bose, the on wire control buttons that control the volume, etc, DO NOT work with this adapter. Not sure about the older apple headphones with the 3.5mm jack because i haven't tried it yet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

good but...

The actual issue is that the adapter needs to be plugged into the phone first, then the inline controls will work. If you plug the headphones into the adapter before plugging the adapter into the phone they will not. It has to be a firmware issue but the solution is simple enough. Neither my adapter nor my brand new headphones are broken.
