Wow, Samsung is a confusing company with no rhyme or reason for naming their products, especially their tablet line. Currently there are 2 tablets made by Samsung with the elusive s pen. This version of the tab a is really good. So I don't go on and on, do yourself a favor, search "9.7 tab a with pen vs. 10.1 tab a with s pen" on Google. The first page of the results will have a side by side comparison of the specs. The 10.1 version is way better with regard to screen resolution, aspect ratio, processing speed, RAM, software, and s pen functionality. I usually do not write reviews but I thought it prudent to help because I am sure there are confused consumers. Bottom line, spend the extra cash, you won't regret it!

I picked this up after receiving the email stating that my preorder was ready to be picked up. I got to the store before it opened with a copy of the email in one hand and an iPhone 4 (trade in) in the other. I was jacked! I can't remember being this exited for anything in a long time. I was using the note 2 and chose to pass on the note 3 because there just wasn't enough technology to trip my trigger. However, I really expected that it would had been released sooner following the BIG introduction in Berlin the first week of September. I was extra happy to find out that best buy was offering a $200 trade in for any working smart phone without a cracked screen. So I walked out of the store 40 minutes later with a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for the price of $130 + tax. As far as the device, I call it that because it is not just a phone. It truly is a legitimate tablet. Possibly a notebook replacement for some. I got in my truck and didn't know what to do first. So I whipped out the s pen. I started scribbling and what was so awesome is that it felt like writing on paper. Weird but accurate. Also it accurately depicted my penmanship. What a trip! Next I signed into my Google account and that was pretty much all I had to do to get up an running. I HAD to write a review ASAP by a "legitimate" user that has had experience with a previous version of a note, also, iphone 4 and 5, HTC m7, iPad 2, and a mutitude of other windows products. Buy this device. It fits in your hand, is user friendly, compatible with all Wifi and Bluetooth devices, and most importantly, looks sexy in your hand. You won't be sorry.
