This architectural speaker features a paintable aluminum grille that provides rust protection when mounted in moisture-prone areas, such as bathrooms, kitchens and saunas. The 1" dome tweeter distributes smooth, clear sound over a wide area.
I was very skeptical about in-ceiling speakers. In the past, I have known them to sound boxy and vibrate the ceiling or wall where they are installed. These are amazing. Not only are they "vibration-free", but the sound is very crisp as well. I have four of these in the ceiling in the rear of my home theater, with a pair of vintage electrostatic Magnepans (the ones with the true mylar ribbon tweeters) and Pioneer tower speakers for the front channels (A+B), with a Polk center channel. I am powering everything through a Pioneer Elite VX-53 receiver, with a Sony Elite Series STRDA-3100ES as a secondary amplifier/receiver. I have a true 9.1 setup and it wouldn't sound anywhere near as good as it does if I didn't have those rear channel Klipsch's installed. It blends amazingly well. I prefer these much more than my Bose rear channel speakers. The sound quality and clarity is double that of the Bose.
What's great about it: Simple to install, sound incredible
