This is one of the BEST devices! 1) It has a range of at least 20-25 feet from the transmitter, which is a tiny little USB device that plugs into your computer. 2) Its intelligent in that it turns off the backlighting after a short period of time, and it senses when you get your hand near it (you dont have to hit a key to get it to light up) 3) the backlighting is GREAT for low light situations (I use it in nighclubs to run my computer graphics shows on a projector) 4) The built in battery goes forever on a charge (I still havent had to charge it up and I have been using this for several hours of continuous use). 5) This model didnt come with a mouse, however I purchased a Logitech wireless mouse, and the mouse works with the same transmitter. You need to download the software and install it b4 the mouse works, but that wasnt a big deal. The keyboard worked with Windows 7 out of the box without installing the software.
I would DEFINITELY recommend this keyboard to others..
