Glitches in Function and Poor Support

This is a tough one to review since the product did not perform as advertised, but part of the functions worked fine. I did contact Turtle Beach with a problem and got a problem assigned through their website; but did not get any reply - that's not so good. I’ve waited 5 days but that does include two weekend days – I don’t expect a reply and their support info says don’t enter a second problem case it just slows things down.
The setup guide is not clear as to a key point when using the Turtle Beach Audio Hub. I wanted to use the product with a Windows 10 PC so naturally I set the little selector switch to PS4/PC. By the way, the Guide does not tell you about the Audio HUB which is needed to personalize some of the settings such as ‘Announcer Effect’ {which is just setting how much reverb (and was a requirement for me)}. Before you do anything it is best to go to this YouTube video to understand how to get your microphone configured: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3jPpinpD3Y In fairness the software of the Audio Hub does tell you to switch to XBOX but since you are using a PC, you wonder if there is a connection problem but in fact it’s just the way the design point was set, i.e. you always use the XBOX setting to change parameters for the mic (not good programming nor engineering).
The aforementioned video is a good video and does mention that to setup via the Audio Hub regardless of platform you set the selector to XBOX. Once you setup the settings if you want to connect the Stream Mic to your Windows PC, you need to switch this same selector back from XBOX to PS4/PC. Okay who designed that? – not good thinking as I said before. But once you get past that you will also find that when you are in the Turtle Beach Audio Hub, and choose ‘Info’, none of the links work, seems the programming is incomplete. The setting tab stuff does work and that is the most important process. You’d also use this Audio Hub to update firmware.
Now I can overcome all those things and I went to make a Podcast with a lot of reverb in my voice. By the way you can set other qualities of your voice and mic levels etc., via this Audio Hub utility – that’s nice. You can connect a headset to the mic and monitor what you are recording. I used a simple movie maker app and recorded a session. In my headset I could hear the reverb and it was nice and the effect I wanted. However, when I played back the recording there was no reverb. I carefully ensured that the recording and playback devices were set to the Turtle Beach Stream Mic for Windows (you can do this by right clicking your speaker icon on the bottom taskbar. I tried several recordings but no luck; I always heard the reverb in my headset, but it was not recorded – that’s not expected per the advertising.
The reason I still gave 2 stars is because pricewise it is a solid little microphone – it is not a professional microphone but it is less costly. For podcasts, you may as well use the mic that’s on your laptop or desktop in my opinion. This mic does allow you to change the pickup direction from front only, to front and back (for an interview for example), and also 360 pickup as well (eg. a meeting), and also has noise cancelling. Most of the settings are intuitive except for the puzzling reason for the XBOX setting. It does have a sturdy base and also came with an adapter to attach it to a boom. I would look further for a better microphone if you can afford it that would function better since between it’s hardware and software – there appear to be too many glitches.

Only at Best BuyPull in HDTV signals from local stations up to 60 miles away with this Mohu Beam antenna. It's 23 inches long and looks like a sound bar to blend with your home entertainment equipment, and you can mounts it on the wall. This Mohu Beam antenna includes a signal amplifier for clear digital reception.

Great Improvement Over My Old Antenna

I installed this antenna on top of a bookcase in a second story bedroom near the outside window. It is simple to install but you do need to be careful to connect the wiring as the included diagram shows you so that the amplifier is properly installed in series with the 75 ohm cable. You will need to provide the amplifier with power either from a powered USB port on a computer or the TV itself; or from the supplied 120V USB power adapter. You do get a short 75 ohm cable and also included is a 10 foot 75 ohm cable with a 75 ohm ‘female to female splice’ if needed. Mounting hardware is included as well as a small peg you can use as a stand for the antenna. A nice touch is a right angle splice that makes it really easy to connect your cable to the antenna – great.
I attached the antenna to a Sling AirTV box. With my old amplified antenna from the same spot in the room, I received 20 channels. Also using my old amplified antenna I experienced considerable pixilating and audio problems as well, depending on the channel selected. Here’s the good news. The Mohu Beam Premium Amplified HDTV Antenna scanned in 30 channels and the picture and audio were both crystal clear across all channels. I threw the old (it was about 8 years old) antenna in the trash. This antenna is doing the job great, and now I have 30 free over-the-air TV channels in this bedroom. I should note that when I installed the new antenna on an inner wall, I lost some of the channels and the clarity, so you do need to ensure you figure out an optimal location for the antenna. You can even locate it in an attic and run the wire down to the amplifier and the TV.
This antenna is priced moderately based on the results it produced. I can recommend it highly.

Comfort, Great Sound and Stay Put

I have several pairs of earbuds both wireless and wired, so I took the opportunity to compare some of them with this item. The wired pair is from a major brand and they were just okay in terms of comfort, but they did not have the soft rubber type ear inserts so I expected that. The sound was okay but not as much bass as I wanted. I also compared with a different JLAB product Epic Executive wireless buds (with noise cancelling) which have sort of ‘cushion’ flaps or fins which catch inside your ear and then finally this item (JLAB Epic Sport Wireless) which have the soft ear inserts but also go over top of your ears. I can tell you that either one is super comfortable. This item is called sport and that’s because the over the ear would seem to have a better chance of staying in your ear while jogging; however the flaps style also stayed fine during jogging, but not quite as well. Also all three kinds could be used easily with glasses. I did not expect the over the ear type (the JLAB Epic Sport i.e. this item) to accomodate the glasses as well, but they did just fine (in fact I’m wearing them while I write this with glasses). The sound from both JLABs blew the wired pair away so my further comments will compare only the JLAB buds. Both had a great and easy method of charging, both kept the charge fine. My preference would be the ‘cushion’ flap style only because they were easier to put in my ears than the over the ear type (this item). Sound wise they were similar, but noise cancelling is a desirable feature on planes which this item did not have, but the ‘cushion’ flap style did.
This item has three equalizer modes which included: Bass Boost, Balanced and a so-called Signature mode with amp’d up vocals and bass which I liked best.
Bluetooth connectivity is a snap with either JLAB and I did it easily with a desktop, an android phone and also to a Sling AirTV box – nice. For running I use the over the ear (this item) and for computer work or on planes I love the JLAB Epic Executive. This item for me was easily 5 star. I would highly recommend this item i.e. the JLAB Epic Sport Wireless. JLAB has their act together for excellent comfort, super sound, Bluetooth connectivity and ease of controls and charging – great.

Deep Mellow Bass - Beautiful

For a relatively small speaker, this has beautiful bass. This one is bigger than its cousin the XB31, so sound is a bit more robust. This unit is another solid product from Sony in terms of construction with quality materials and well thought out design. It can be charged either over USB cable or the supplied AC Adapter. It paired easily with my desktop, laptop, cell phone and also with a Sling AirTV box. Everything is simple to do. The speaker is great for enhancing your PC speaker situation – beautiful sound, lots of bass. A nice feature is the lights, you get lines of light and strobes; and it is not overdone. I liked the lights while I watched TV – it seemed to cheer me up – great.
It also has a nice audio-in jack for devices you can’t pair it with. It has a 24 hour charge and I verified this by letting it die, then recharging. There is a feature that younger folks and/or party folks would enjoy where you can chain up to 100 of these together using Bluetooth. Nice feature if you consider the tremendous sound and flashing lights that would be produced for a party atmosphere. It is waterproof and can be submerged without hurting its electronics or materials – though I didn’t try this. Interesting app called Sony Music Center can be installed which I did. I did not opt for buying songs but I did utilize the app to easily pair the speaker with my Android phone. It does have a microphone so you can make calls using it.
If you like technical specs you might have noticed it has IP67 rating – and this is something very good. I didn’t know what an IP67 rating was exactly so I looked it up. This is called the Ingress Protection rating system which shows the degrees of protection from solid objects (like dust) and liquids. The first number refers to the protection against solid objects, if the first number is 0, there is no protection provided. A number 5 refers to limited protection against dust. The number 6 is for total protection against dust. The second number of the IP rating system refers to protection against liquids. A ‘0’ indicates no protection, while a 7 refers to protection against immersion between 15 centimeters and 1 meter. So this unit is outstanding, there you have that. Another spec of interest is LDAC4. This means it will transmit three times more data than conventional Bluetooth audio so you are not going to get blips and skips while listening – also very nice.
Music played by YouTube was much clearer and more Bass. Lastly there is a really well done Help Guide you can refer to online. The basic set up instructions came with it. But you will want to go out to http://rd1.sony.net/help/speaker/srs-xb31/v1/h_zz/ and check out the all the functions and instructions. One example is you can use this speaker with the Sony Music Center app for connection to SIRI and Android voice assist units – pretty neat.
Overall I would highly recommend this unit for its sound quality, lights and its functionality.

Comfort and Great Sound & Affordable

Very comfortable headphones. The first thing I check is the comfort level, no matter how great a sound, if the headphones aren’t comfortable then nothing else matters to me. Along with the soft nice feel which is a product of the ear pads and how the headphones gently hug your head, these headphones also do have super sound.
The ease of connection with Bluetooth is getting more refined by all devices and this product is no exception. I paired it easily to my laptop, desktop android phone and also a Sling AirTV box. No troubles at all. I also paired it to my RAM truck just in case I would want to use the headphones in the truck – nice.
The Digital Sound Enhancement Engine did seem to work nicely as the sound was more robust than other head phones. I liked the battery 35 hour charge and it really does last. You can use with a cell phone as it has a microphone.
The noise cancelling was superb, sometimes noise cancellation seems to muffle the music but not with these headphones and that was really better than I expected. It was great for use when my dehumidifier came on (I tested that to see).
I felt the controls were logical and simple. I don’t want too many settings to play with for headphones and this pair has a nice plain but perfectly usable controls – nice.
You get a charging cord and also included is a useful Male-to-Male 3.5mm Cable if you want to go wired (or run out of battery power) – this is a nice extra not often included and you can use it for other devices as well.
I would highly recommend these headphones as more value for the price than many higher end models I have tried. The key here is the right design points in terms of comfort, beautiful sound and they have the great added noise cancelling capability.

Just Fabulous Power Toothbrush

I have used power toothbrushes for many years. This one is the best so far. The brush head itself is designed in a very smart way so that you can easily clean your teeth AND gums (without hurting the gums). I actually use two different power toothbrushes every day and also a manual brush. One gets my gums and the next others are more for my teeth (with whitening toothpaste). By the way it is a great idea to have a water pick type device as well and I find it does better than flossing.
This brush can do a lot of different things although it is simple to use. It has three modes: cleaning, whitening and gum care mode. The head design is key and feels so great on my teeth. It has an indicator for to help you know when one part of your teeth is good to go and you can move on – I liked that feature a lot. It also indicates when you should replace the brush head – I’ve never seen that type of indication before – super. I do realize I might see the brush head needs replacement sooner. I think it is a great idea since I tend to not pay attention to brush head replacement.
It also has a battery status indicator. Some models don’t have this and I miss it on those; although it seems to not be so vital it is an important feature not found on cheaper products.
The mechanism for this brush is tried and true, I have had other products from Philips Sonicare and they are constructed ruggedly and I have not had one break on me. I highly recommend this unit.

Quality and Simplicity

My first feedback would have to be that my wife loves having a camera that tells her who is at the front door. I installed the NEST app on her phone as wells as on her PC which is upstairs. When she hears the doorbell she can easily see who is there wherever she is before she goes to the door.
I have to say that the product included superior hardware including the device and any wiring and even screws - all top notch. There are videos provided when you install the NEST app to run you through the simple install process. You will need to put a module in your doorbell but it is easy to do, it will connect with two wires. You should be sure you have at least a 16 volt doorbell (it would be rare if you had a lesser voltage) - mine was 16 volts. You will have to find the circuit breaker that turns off the doorbell (which probably is on your garage lights or outlets but could be any of the breakers). You may see the little transformer hanging off your circuit breaker box or even inside the box. You install the module in the doorbell box and then change out the doorbell button for the NEST Hello. It can be done faster than it took me to tell you.
Now there is something called NEST Aware that allows saving of the videos and other abilities, but I only needed the function of being able to see who's at the door. You get a free trial and then it is $10 or so per month if you want to keep the other functions.
You can speak to the person at the door as well as hear them. You can set notifications to your email for motion detection or sound detection. I turned off the sound detection for now as even a crow cawing will cause a recording.
I have the ARLO battery powered cameras and I set a schedule to preserve batteries but cover times when I want to record motion - that is nice and I love them. However, I really like that the NEST Hello is powered by your home electricity because I can let it record motion all the time and not worry about battery life.
I put it in HD mode since I do have hi-speed internet WiFi. The quality of the video is wonderful. It also has night vision - great. One last comment is you will probably use the extra wedge that is included which ensures your camera points away from a wall when your doorbell button is near a corner wall. I had to redo my install of the NEST button since I tried without the wedge. It depends on where your button is.
I definitely recommend this product it is great quality and works flawlessly.

I have the ARLO battery powered cameras and I set a schedule to preserve batteries but cover times when I want to record motion - that is nice and I love them. However, I really like that the NEST Hello is powered by your home electricity because I can let it record motion all the time and not worry about battery life.
I put it in HD mode since I do have hi-speed internet WiFi. The quality of the video is wonderful. It also has night vision - great. One last comment is you will probably use the extra wedge that is included which ensures your camera points away from a wall when your doorbell button is near a corner wall. I had to redo my install of the NEST button since I tried without the wedge. It depends on where your button is.
I definitely recommend this product it is great quality and works flawlessly.

Excellent Projector Features and Price Point

The Epson EX3260 is a middle of the line business projector cost-wise but not function-wise. It is very bright (3,300 lumens of equal color and white brightness) and has easy to adjust skew, using settings or just using the slider on top – I liked using the slider. The price point for this business projector is very nice, it has comparable brightness, clarity and functionality with projectors costing 5 times as much. It is rugged and very well designed. Although it is billed as a business projector, you can show Youtube videos etc. with very nice quality.
It comes with USB, VGA and power cables and also a support bracket for a wireless USB key (but the USB Wireless Key is a $90 option: ELPAP10). Wireless connectivity is not really necessary as you can connect your laptop via HDMI or USB for audio/video. You can also plug in a USB thumb drive with photos and do a slideshow. This unit does have its own internal speaker which is convenient. I purchased and used an HDMI cable and I thought the picture quality was better than with the USB cable.
The remote is super useful and I found myself using it more than touching the projector on-board controls including power off/on. It also has a pointer which is an arrow that you move via the remote joystick - I would have preferred a laser pointer; but it is okay.
It has an easily extendable foot to allow the user to raise the projector without putting a book or something under the projector. The Quick Guide that comes with the projector is probably all you need to use all the functions. However, there are extensive manuals to download if you like all the details – beautiful documentation, you can download the doc’s using the included CD.
You don’t need to install any drivers with Windows 10, it will detect and load the software needed. If you plan to buy the wireless key and use that instead of a cable to make connections, you will need to download and run the Epson iProjection app, which you can find on their website, but not on the provided CD, which I did find a bit of a distraction, the correct Apps should be on the included CD, you can always update the software if needed.
You can also focus and zoom via mechanical or via the remote. The image in a bright room is perfect but there are many adjustments to enhance the image for any lighting environment. I ran it from a laptop with USB and HDMI. I thought the HDMI handled short videos better but either is great for Powerpoint presentations.
I also tried a USB directly attached to the projector and the photos came up brilliant – very nice.
The GUI interface used by selecting ‘Menu’ from the remote or the projector buttons is well thought out and effective. One thing I found especially useful is that you can reset the configuration via selection on the menu. This projector is not DLP it uses the much brighter and better color matching due to its 3LCD technology – wonderful. I really loved this projector which also comes with a great protective carrying case that can store the projector, power cables and also your USB and HDMI cables – really rugged case with carrying strap.
I would recommend this projector for home use or business use. It has great technology and functionality.

This review is for the SimpliSafe - Protect Home Security System – White. There are many versions you can buy. The basic part of the system will be the same i.e. the keypad and the base unit. If you want to look into the pricing and purchasing options, you can go to their website at https://simplisafe.com/ and a very nice interactive system will help you choose what you may want for your home.
The system I got had the base and keypad and 4 door-entry devices and one motion detector. I could add other devices like glass breaks or smoke detectors to my system. The pricing for various items is about 20% or so of the price for competitors’ devices so SimpliSafe turns out to be very cost effective. I did research and only SimpliSafe devices will work with their base unit but since the SimpliSafe prices are better that is fine with me.
This system does not take technical skill to install, it is super easy. They provided a step-by-step guide and I had the entire system programmed in less than 10 minutes. I have had other systems: CPI and ADT and currently have ADT and they seem overly complicated versus SimpliSafe. Simplisafe provides a method to tape the devices securely in position by doors, windows or walls so installation is very fast and no complications.
The devices worked flawlessly over my entire house range. SimpliSafe has made the usage of the system likewise simple; you have the 3 needed modes, OFF, AWAY and HOME and there is a button for each. The ‘smarts’ are built into the system – I love it. If you want the system to have the monitoring, you will need to connect it to your WiFi or it can use cell towers to report alarms to their monitors who will call police or fire. You need to connect it to your WiFi in any event to check for and download upgrades.
Now SimpliSafe does not lock you into a contract. In fact you don’t need to have a monthly service, you can set up the system and if you get an intruder there will be a loud siren if the passcode is not entered in time. The system will show you messages to help you understand any alarm activity including if the power went out (there is a built-in back-up battery to run the base unit for 24 hours and all devices including the keypad run off batteries.
The monthly service rates if you want ‘monitoring’ are about 20-30% of what the other services cost. I did read that if you want to cancel the service it is instant – the other services make you wait 90 days after you send them a written notice of cancellation.
I plan to cancel my other service and utilize Simplisafe. I also will expand my system. Another use I spoke to my wife about is to have a second base unit and keypad and a couple entry devices, that I can take on vacations where we stay in cabins and I can set it up in 5 minutes so when we leave the cabin we will have an alarm system.

Excellent Sound Quality and Added Functions

This unit is very solid construction with quality materials and designed very well. I like the ease of pairing it with my Desktop. I also paired it with a Sling AirTV box and cell phone everything is simple to do. The speaker is great for enhancing your PC speaker situation – beautiful sound, lots of bass. Sound can be very full and deep like you might hear in a theater during the murder scene nice – it does as they say create a 3-D feeling sound.
One cool feature is the lights, you get flashes, strobes and it is not overdone, I liked it playing with the lights while I did other work on the computer. It also has a nice audio-in jack for devices you can’t pair it with. It has a 24 hour charge and this was verified per my own testing.
There is a feature that younger folks and/or party folks would enjoy where you can chain up to 100 of these together using Bluetooth. Nice feature if you consider the tremendous sound and flashing lights that would be produced for a party or reunion. It is waterproof and can be submerged without hurting its electronics or materials – though I didn’t try this.
Interesting app called Sony Music Center can be installed which I did. I did not opt for buying songs but I did utilize the app to easily pair the speaker with my Android phone. Music played by YouTube was much clearer and more Bass than even my Jensen Moto-Mod produced (and the Moto-Mod is pretty nice sound).
Lastly there is a really well done Help Guide you can refer to online. The basic set up instructions came with it. After buying this product, I am both pleased yet a little disappointed! I needed another player to replace my 5 year old Sony 3-D player (also bought at BB) because it was no longer compatible with YouTube. Since my TV is an LG, I decided to buy an LG player.
The LG BP550 is smaller than my older Sony (another reason I chose it) and has fewer apps but I really didn't care about that as long as YouTube worked and that it also had Netflix and HuluPlus apps. Hooking it up and installing it was quick and easy and completing the system update was also a breeze! Already on sale, I saw it was also available as an Open-Box item so I thought I could save even more buying it at that option...NOT!
Advertised as 'Open-Box Excellent Condition' I ordered it on May 13th and it arrived on the 15th - without the remote! Maybe I shouldn't have assumed that an item labeled as "Returned, used as display model in store, or opened due to packaging damage but remains in like-new condition" meant or means that all accessories, cables, manuals, remotes, etc. are included.
Fortunately, my TV remote was able to do some of the basic stuff for installing and some playback features but that's it. So I make a call to BB and learn that the 4-yr Protection Plan I paid for would not cover this missing remote and was then advised to call LG for a 'free' replacement.
Customer service at LG then directed me to call their authorized parts dealer for my time zone. Of course, they were closed on Saturday and Sunday!
I called the parts dealer today (18th) and was told to contact the retailer since I'd "recently purchased the item and it should be returnable/replaceable under warranty". I explained that I had been informed that it was not and that I was told to call them by both BB and LG!
Subsequently, I was given the part number and price for a replacement remote!
Well it looks as if buying Open-Box didn't save me much, if anything, after all since the replacement remote has to be paid for out of my pocket!
I may be better off returning this player and buying a NEW one instead!

Remote Replacement

It's not ideal but if you are missing a remote and/or lose or break it, you can easily download a smartphone app to run it. You could also program a multi device remote like the Harmony 650 which I did. So nowadays a missing remote is not a show stopper but I agree it should have not been missing.

I purchased this with great excitement. I mostly do everyday things, with an evergrowing photo collection. I bought Adobe creative cloud and was ready to go. Fired it up and was shocked at how bad the text looks. I have tried many different settings. I don't know if it is a scaling thing? I love everything else about the unit. Photos look great. I dont game.
The text issue is varies. Some apps, it looks fine... others - terrible. Also, some apps don't scale well at all on the 4K screen.
May return the unit and get a laptop I can plug a second monitor in for my photo work.

Fix for fonts didn't install

The expert pointed to a download and it did not install. I'm glad since I think you just need to go to settings and find the 'cleartype text' setting and run through it to make fonts great. Also I see many of the apps will fix drivers and so forth so there is a learning curve now to see how to run these machines.

Tips For Better Text on AIO 700

I've played with the font's and you may also want to scale text or make it bold for example if you use Windows Live (you can do that within Display Settings). The other tip is that the text is very clear but small so you may find that enlarging text by hitting Ctrl and + (together) once or twice will make some things easier to read. You hit Ctrl and - together to reduce. I didn't use those commands as often on other machines, but it is beautiful to use at times on this machine. By the way videos are wonderful if you use something like Amazon Prime video etc WOW

Lenovo Fix for AIO 700 24ISH

Jason, I did think ClearType helped a little but the scaling and putting 'bold' on helped more. I did see the fix that Lenovo posted. First I flashed the BIOS which they also posted as of 9/10/15. However when I tried their special fix for the font scaling it is an .rar file and I had to load WinZip (free version for now) but it did unpack it. However I never saw it run successfully as it always returned an error code. I am going to call Lenovo on that but the text looks pretty good so maybe it actually ran. I'll post an update on that. By the way the support at Lenovo is abysmal.

It worked for a few hours right out of the box. Then I noticed the screen flashing and the graphics cards crashing. After a reset it freezes after 5 minutes of use. Not sure if it's the pc itself or driver issues with Windows 10, either way it's not worth the trouble. If they can fix these issues then it is absolutely worth the price.

Try Driver Updates & Flash BIOS

If you still have it and if it will stay up long enough, I'd say go to Lenovo's web site and download the newest BIOS, it's easy to update BIOS now. Then go into Device Manager and update both Display drivers. If you bought an open box, I'd also try to reload the whole machine to the factory settings (or BestBuy should do that for you). But if you go to the apps, the app called Lenovo Rescue System will do it for you pretty easily. Then do the stuff I mentioned above.

Checked on Font Scaling Fix

I couldn't get the download from Lenovo's website to install. I downloaded and unpacked the fix, but it returned an error code when I ran it. I spent 40 minutes with Lenovo 1st and 2nd level support. They pretty much had no info on this fix. They didn't open a problem ticket 8005969635. Also their website said you should post a request online to have them call you back, but their process was broken in that area also. Full disclosure: even without this fix, the screen looks awesome to me.

Successful Adjustments for FONTS

Lots of people had problems with the fonts on this 4K hi-def screen. Lenovo support was useless but Geek Squad fixed me right up via remote connection. It might be something others know, but judging by the reviews most people including me just didn't really understand. There are lots of modifications to DISPLAY parameters but what most people should do if they are using this screen for apps like Windows Live is to change the screen resolution to 1920x1080 and change the scaling to 125%. Now everything is beautiful. If you do want to watch a movie in high def, then put it back to 3840x2160 and set scaling to 200%. What is confusing is that there is a choice for 2560x1600 but this is not the same ratio as the screen size so you get bars on each side which you probably don't want - I should have seen this but the Geek Squad enlightened me. Now as to the patch from Lenovo for font scaling, you probably don't need it nor would it do much I am sure. So kudos to the Geek Squad and thanks. It is an awesome machine and in fact even the lower resolution is more than any other PC I have ever had.

There will be more ultra HD computer screens and I'm guessing they will add automated switching to show videos in HD but do the rest of your PC work with the lower resolution which is excellent when viewing text.

This AIO has superior resolution to others. Some reviews spoke about a text problem, however you can improve the text via going to settings, display, advanced and 'cleartype text' and follow the steps. Also has 3D display capability which is good for future needs for me. Sound is nice with Jensen speakers. Touch screen is great. WIFI is super and has both 2.4 and 5 GHz ranges with Wireless AC. Very quiet fan. Lenovo support has regressed but is do-able I asked a simple question and the tech had no idea, also the website seems broken in the support area; glad I got Geek Squad. But this AIO is one great machine. price is very reasonable for what you get. Love it.

After playing with various settings I have some hopefully helpful feedback. First of all don't use the 3840x2160 unless you are streaming video, it makes text bad. Also don't use 2560x1600 since it is not a multiple of the 3840x2160 i.e. you'll get bars on both sides of the screen. Do use the 1920x1080 which is also hi-def and fits this screen dimensions properly. Now if you want text a little bigger then go to 'set custom scaling level' and use 110% or 115%; this makes nice readable text. Now here's a quirk I see lots of people having and not just on this PC or brand for Windows 10. You may see occasional video card errors and once in a while the machine may not IPL (just power off and try again it will come up). I think the problem is the video card doesn't get back fast enough to the CPU, and the video card crashes but does recover. Not a problem unless you are playing PC high powered games. So I don't recommend this machine for games, but video streaming and apps like Corel Photoshop are great. Now what you can do to minimize or eliminate the video card crashes (remember it happens on lots of machines with Windows 10, so there will be a fix soon I think). Anyway go to Control Panel and search for 'visual effects', then click on adjust the appearance and performance of Windows. Then select 'Custom' and click the box next to 'smooth edges of screen fonts'. If you optimize for 'best appearance' entirely or for let 'windows choose'... that's when the video card may not keep up I think. If you optimize for 'best'performance' the text looks horrible. Anyway the 'custom' settings work for me to give me nice text and no crashes. This is a stretch but I think the engineers knew there could be a problem, that's why they tried to put in the super high powered video cards, but not good enough for now, I do think this will get fixed by Windows 10 OS soon. This machine for it's price is tremendous and I think worth this minor glitch.

I wanted to update my review to indicate that a frequent display driver error that said "...Intel Video adapter stopped working but recovered...", has stopped occurring after about 1 week ago when a pretty big Windows 10 update came out. It was never a killer for me since I don't play games but when I googled it, I did see that it was fairly common on many PC's - that's good since it appears Microsoft fixed it. Note there are two video adapters in this machine but the Nvidia one was not failing.

I’m confused. How/ where does it get ota channels? Is there an antenna that comes with it? Similar to the digital antenna I use now for local channels? Or does it get the local ota channels and stream to device via the internet?
It does not get the OTA channels over the internet. You would use the same OTA antenna you may be using with a 'converter' box. There is a 75 ohm cable connector on the SlingTV box and that is where you connect the OTA antenna. This replaces the converter box you may know but has the ability to also get streaming content for channels you subscribe to via the SlingTV account and also Netflix etc. The beauty is you can integrate all these sources of content into one 'MyTV' listing if you like, and be able to see a guide to what's on on the subset of channels you like (or all the channels from all sources if you like). Pretty neat.

This looks like the same thermostat a professional installed at my last home. I'd like to add one to another zone in the same residence. Is the version sold and installed by HVAC companies the same as the one sold at Best Buy?
I can only say that the one the professional installed for my sister with her new furnace was the Honeywell Lyric T5 at $150 or so. This one is $200. Both are hooked up exactly the same way. Both have WiFi. I think the $200 looks sharper, felt sturdier and has some more advanced features but either one can program AC/Heat. Both are sold by Best Buy. Your professional will install this one if you buy it and tell him to use this nicer one.

Hi, I just brought these speakers and it appears that the right speaker is not working some reason. And it appears that my tv is picking up the speaker. I mean it is not showing up in the devices. Can you help me?
My guess on the right speaker missing is that your jack is worn and maybe only one of the stereo channels is getting connected on one end or the other - try a new patch cord. I didn't have a problem pairing this with a PC and an android phone, so I'm guessing you need to be sure the TV is looking for any Bluetooth devices. You don't say whether the Audio Pro paired with your phone for example? When I have trouble pairing I power on/off both devices sometimes that helps. Also don't hit the pair button a bunch of times, just hit it once. Hope this helps.

What is the size of the Optane memory on this computer?
When I used the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) application I saw 13GB for the Optane and 993GB for the HDD. The Optane memory card is separate hardware that is paired with the HDD, but you probably knew that.
