Very Solid, Compact and Precise
on October 22, 2019

You’ll first notice the physical characteristics of this keyboard, and they are impressive. There is a nice weight to it; but not too heavy, which gives it a very solid feel. This solid feel is also due of course to the steel backplate. There are five rubber pads on the bottom which grip the surface aggressively. You have 3 height levels due to a very well-designed set of feet that change your keyboard angle. You do not have a wrist rest but I have found these rests move too much on other gaming keyboards so I don’t like them anyway. The power plug (USB Micro) is designed such that it has a surrounding shroud/prongs that ensures it stays plugged in even if you grab the keyboard or move it with quick key striking. The lights on the keys are fantastic and you’ll have many ways to configure them – more on that later. You should understand this is a ‘tenkeyless’ mechanical keyboard. You won’t have a ‘numberpad’ on the right – this makes the keyboard more compact and I felt this is better for gaming situations and in fact even if you are doing other types of usage. It will make your distance to the mouse smaller of course and this is often a desired feature. The lighting of the letters and numbers on the keys is very sharp looking.
Logitech has created the GX Blue switches for the keys and these switches are smooth with a very nice sounding audible click. I compared the feel and sound with another brand gaming keyboard and I did prefer the lower tone on this Logitech G Pro which others may also like. The feel of the keys as you strike them is beautiful and the contour of each key is just perfect I think, but this is subjective.
You do need to download the Logitech G Hub software. This gives you lots of options including the light patterns and setting up macros. You can use standard light patterns, create your own and also download and upload patterns from a community library. I tried lots of downloaded patterns and it was a lot of fun to see the animated lighting and colors. You can disable some keys, there are defaults and you can easily add others as you wish; the selected keys are disabled when you press the game mode button which looks like a little joystick – cute. Disabling some keys is helpful to keep me from accidently hitting keys on the lower row as I am a little clumsy when I’m in games or even just doing something like a word document.
I definitely recommend this keyboard: it is precise, solid and a lot of fun to use.

Simple to Use, Food Delicious/Tender
on October 13, 2019

Wow! I am a gourmet cook now. This is perfect for a meal for a family or two meals for a single person. Not too big and not too small. I made the Pot Roast using the included recipe. Set it for “Lo” and 12 hours cook time. A nice feature is that it will go to “warm” mode when the twelve hours are up. It is quite warm to serve even if in the “warm” mode for a couple hours.
The pot roast was super tender and the red potatoes I used were perfectly done as were the mushrooms, onions and carrots. I did not add the celery; by the way I did use both the called for beef broth and also some canned beef gravy. So delicious I was amazed I could get the meat so tender.
It also has a “Hi” mode and you can cook the same meal in 8 hours.
It is simple to use and very easy to clean up. The inner ceramic pot comes out for cleaning and it is very solid. Just a great design and high quality. I do recommend it as the best crock pot I ever used.

Outstanding Features and Ease of Install
on October 13, 2019

The Arlo Pro3 cameras are quite a jump up from the original Arlo cameras. I have both now. These cameras add sound and better video technology including improved resolution. A giant step up is that these use a rechargeable battery as well.
The setup using the new app is flawless. The cameras sync’d instantly with the base unit. One installation improvement could be for Arlo to include two mounts that screw into your outside mounting points. They only include one of these and one interior type ‘portable’ mount. This system had two cameras so why not two of each type of mount. This system is not cheap so go ahead and do this Arlo people.
The recognition technology seems to be working fine i.e. object recognition – but I would need to view this over about 3 months to really see if it works. The camera app set up features are very nice to easily get your correct motion sensitivity level and camera orientation all honed in.
These cameras also have a microphone so you can talk back and forth or mute your voice and hear what’s going on – this is a very nice capability the old Arlo cameras did not have.
You can also integrate this system with Google Home for example. About the only real negative is the delay from the point the cameras pick up motion to the point where you see the live image on your phone. It seems you can say ‘go live’ and it will say ‘connecting’ for several seconds before you actually see the image. I realize the wireless latency is part of this, but wonder if Arlo can come up with some technology that keeps the camera ready without battery drain but allows the communication link to the base unit to be faster. The range-distance for the base to pickup the cameras is indeed great.
The other feature like the library of videos, and scheduling active camera motion sensing timeframes are still there and are very well done. The weather proofing of the camera is great and the battery removal and replacement has been improved and is much easier than the old Arlo cameras in two ways. There is a button to push to release the battery pack and when re-installed the battery pack makes an audible and solid click to let you know it is closed up.
I found that this system is overall super-duper and I do recommend these Arlo systems for solid build quality, excellent features and ease of install.

Bright and Crisp Projection
on October 4, 2019
Posted by: RalphHenry
from Raleigh, NC
This projector worked perfectly as designed. It is for home use and it is large (6” high by 16” wide by 13” depth) and has a super bright image projection. There are all the requisite adjustments for focus and ensuring the sides of the projected picture are square i.e. ±30° keystone correction. You can access both basic and more detailed functions from the included remote.
It does not have speakers and since the ‘quick start’ guide is for both the 3200 and 3800 models you might think it does like I did which resulted in a call to tech support. The call went excellent. They answered within 30 seconds and advised me it did not have speakers (I did feel a little lame, but I do have two other Epson projectors that have speakers). However even better in regards to speakers, it actually does have Bluetooth. I was able to use the on-screen menus without looking at the user manual and anyone can easily figure out how to pair an external speaker. Since there are many re-chargeable Bluetooth speakers both indoors and outdoors types, it really is a better way to go. The internal speakers always sound ‘tinny’ anyway. The Bluetooth capability is also used to pair optional 3D glasses.
It does have a USB port that you can insert an optional WiFi dongle; and this will give the device the ability to work over a network which is really nice. It also has a USB charging port which is very handy so that you can be charging your Bluetooth speaker if necessary while operating the speaker and the projector. It has 4K resolution and this is a big deal as far as clarity of a large image (up to 300” screen size) which tested flawlessly from my laptop HDMI connection. The only design change I would suggest is to have type of front feet that slide down quickly to aim the projector. The front feet here are adjusted by screwing the foot up or down which is a relatively slow process, but is more precise. It would also be nice at this price point, to include both the WiFi dongle and a pair of the optional 3D RF active shutter glasses (yes it has a 3D viewing mode).
This is no toy, it is expensive but it is a superior home projector with a beautiful lens, a powerful cooling fan and a very bright/sharp output - it also has a 2 year parts/labor warranty and a great phone support desk. I certainly recommend this solid and powerful unit as an excellent projector for your home screen (or even wall) viewing.

Handy Speaker/PA for Many Uses
on September 27, 2019

Excellent outdoor speaker. The first thing I checked was if it had effective rubber ‘plugs’ to keep out moisture and it does indeed have the best I’ve seen. It does have a very nice array of functionality: AM/FM radio, Bluetooth, phone charging port, rechargeable battery and microphone to name the top functions.
I did find the Bluetooth pairing was really easy. Also the radio worked very well and did have a seek/scan feature as well as preset capability. The battery life proved as advertised at 50 plus hours.
It came with a something not often found: an informative printed manual. You can even link two speakers or more together.
I found that having the microphone was a great idea as it does turn this into a portable outdoor PA system.
The speakers had very good volume, however the sound was not the greatest. Since it is an outdoor speaker the less than robust sound is not as important since there is a lot of ambient noise anyway. So I did not deduct for the sound – and the sound was very good and you also could press the Bass Button to get a little richer sound from the speaker.
The charging port is very important so you can plug in your phone and it will ensure your phone won’t go dead while using the speaker at an outdoor party or BBQ. I did use it at my garage sale to make ‘sort of announcements’ over the din of the crowd – so that was really nice to be able to do. I also used it by my Hot Tub and that was another wonderful advantage of this waterproof speaker that does not have to be plugged into power.
The features provided and included microphone/cables make this a great purchase at the price point. I do highly recommend this for those wanting to have a rechargeable outdoor speaker. It can also be used indoors as I did to improve my TV sound.

Fantastic Product, Well Designed
on September 23, 2019

The Upright Go is an amazing little device. I have been trying it out for about a week. It is used to correct you from slumping your shoulders which I am notorious at. I tried a device that you strap on but it was uncomfortable and didn’t work anyway. I was a bit concerned that this device, which emits a slight vibration when you slump, may not really work as claimed – but it most certainly did. It is a brilliant idea. The vibration does cause you to pull your shoulders back right away. Your brain quickly gets the hint and you begin to slump less even when using it only for a week.
It is not uncomfortable at all, and it is really very easy to put it on your back just about 4 or 5 inches below where your spine starts. It uses a pad like you may know from when electrodes are attached with some medical devices. You can where it under clothing and it is so small that it is not noticeable.
The app you download is fantastic and very well designed. You don’t need to read the instructions that came with it as the app walks you through the setup and usage. You also get statistical data from the app on how well you are doing. The app will instruct you on setting up your correct posture and it is so helpful to watch the visual on the screen which shows you slumping if you want to watch while you use it.
You charge it in a small case. It comes with several additional stick-on pads and you can buy them cheaply when you run out. There is a color-coded LED to alert you when it is charging and when it needs charging.
There is a very nice video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ph3ifHLp4NE&feature=youtube which was very well done by the manufacturer – it’s less than 4 minutes and it is a good idea to watch it.
Everything about this product is well thought out and I am very impressed with the idea of using this technology to help correct slumping. Wonderful product and I would highly recommend it – it works.

Handy and Nice Sound

The function for the price is excellent for this device. I tried all the functions and although you do have to get used to the user interface, it is not complicated. I found the FM radio was handy and the sound was very nice at this price point. The most important feature was the ability to play your MP3 song lists. You are able to easily access and organize your songs. It is small enough to put in a shirt pocket or pants pocket as you jog. It is solid construction and you can't go wrong choosing this one.

Excellent Lower Cost Printer and 1 year Ink
on July 19, 2019
Posted by: RalphHenry
from Raleigh, NC
This is a full function printer with a multi-sheet feeder, fax, copy and print. One unique feature is the ink reservoirs that can allow enough ink to print one year. The cartridges that came in the box were advertised as able to supply 1 year of ink – that’s hard to prove but if true it will be a very cost-saving feature. The manual does indicate the number of sheets as 150 pages/month as a year’s worth of ink usage.
Installing utilizes either the included CD or you can download from the Brother site. I did see that you must have the printer and your PC on the same network which is normal. However most routers now have a 5 GHZ and a 2.4 GHZ SSID. Further most routers now also offer a feature to name one SSID and the router will ‘automagically’ pick out the optimal bandwidth network. I take time to say this since my PC did not find the printer at first. I realized that the PC was using the 5 GHZ SSID and the printer can only talk WiFi via 2.4 GHZ. Once I forced the PC onto the 2.4GHZ SSID, then the PC did find the printer. One way to avoid all this is to use a USB cable to hardwire the printer to your PC during installation, once done, you can connect via WiFi. Lastly once defined you can have devices using the 5 GHZ SSID or the 2.4 GHZ SSID and either will find the printer.
When you first install the printer it prints a sheet to see if the colors are printing correctly. I noticed the yellow was barely visible, but this turns out to be normal. When I tested a little rainbow photo the yellow was just as bright as the other colors.
A color test showed a rainbow very nicely but not as bright as printers that cost twice this price – so that is fair enough. If you want super bright colors from this printer you can set ‘Best quality’ but you also must set ‘Vivid’ color in the properties. Still it was not quite as good as the more expensive printers but quite acceptable at this price point.
Build quality is solid and all the features worked as designed. I did like that there is just a power cord and no power brick, you just plug the printer in like any other appliance.
I definitely recommend this printer, it is full featured and the one-year ink is a super idea.

Sharpest and Best Touchscreen
on July 16, 2019
Posted by: RalphHenry
from Raleigh, NC
This is a very nice dash cam. I liked the app, although it took me two tries to get it to show ‘live feed’ on my cell phone. But it was my fault since I didn’t follow the instructions and tried to do it on the fly. So advice upfront in my review is to follow the setup guide. I had to actually reset the camera and start all over to get everything to work.
This dash cam had the best screen of any I have used. Indeed it was a couple steps above the others – extremely sharp and bright. Also this screen tested better than others as far as the touch screen capability – super nice.
I may add a rear dash cam and this one has the feature to just plug it into this camera - very easy. You can get a rearview camera that acts like a rear view mirror or one that captures the inside of the vehicle. These are both options. The rear-facing camera will just plug into the side of this camera so no other wiring is needed.
It records GPS, speed, date and you can turn them off separately.
It has the ability to auto-save video sections if it senses an impact – which is a requirement of any dash cam I think.
It also can interface with Alexa and even has an emergency response SOS to alert emergency services to your location if needed.
I found the wide angle view gives you a perfect capture of the road ahead and oncoming traffic.
Small point but the included flat spudger tool was really helpful to tuck the cable under your windshield trim; and it was easier to hide the installation cable all the way to the power socket using this tool.
This camera is a little more expensive than others but given the better fit and finish and the quality of the lens and the 3" IPS touch screen it is well worth it and I would recommend it.

Cordless Feature a Must for Stairs and Cars
on July 3, 2019
Posted by: RalphHenry
from Raleigh, NC
This little gem is a wonder and much needed appliance for pet owners. I found it to be very solid and high quality. I did easily assemble the attachment brush and charged the battery. I went to work on a set of carpeted steps and of course this is where the product feature of cordless was most helpful. I used the cleaning solution provided and I did dilute it a bit even though it said to use it full strength – it cleaned very well and had a great smell. The cordless feature and light weight are extremely useful for steps and I also used it to clean the carpet in my vehicle. You are advised and it is prudent to vacuum before you use any carpet shampoo type device. I definitely recommend this product, it is just what is needed for smaller carpet cleaning needs – perfect.

Took it back
By kenn
After setup was complete, the computer suffered many glitches, both in hardware and software. E.g. the computer kept disconnecting from my Wi-Fi and I had to go in and retype the password. Computer locked up several times and I had to unplug it to shut it down so I could reboot it. Much of my software apps displays were incredibly small and I could find no way to change them. These were just a few of the most glaring examples.
You Can Change Size of Objects & Text
December 27, 2015
The ultra HD display can be adjusted. Go to Settings, System (Display is in there), Advanced Display Settings and change the resolution to 1920x1080. Then continue on to Advanced Sizing of Text and Other Items; now click on 'Set a custom scaling level' (blue text) and select 110%. Now everything will be correct. Most apps don't work well with the Ultra HD yet. But your machine will be powerful as new Apps come out. Once the machine updates to latest Windows 10, you will find it great.

Great Product at First
By Merv
Worked great in the beginning but had trouble keeping battery power and is dead now and will not recharge. Also not easy to clip on. The band included to wear on your wrist is 4" thick at least and not practical. It would have been better to purchase on of the wrist versions versus the one. I hope Best Buy will allow me to exchange due to the default.
FitBit One Wide Band
January 22, 2016
You do realize the wide band is ideal for sleep monitoring as it is very comfortable on the wrist all night. It is not a watch band. Also various suppliers make a band that the Fitbit One can snap into and then it can be worn as a watch. SO if you like the Fitbit otherwise, just get the watch band for it.

Syncing Fitbit One
January 22, 2016
I noticed trouble syncing and it seemed if you have the application open and the Fitbit is connected to your PC, then it won't sync with your phone and vice versa. Not sure if that is an error or the design. Once application closed on PC now the phone sync'd in a couple seconds. So maybe this is what some people are seeing?

Highest Quality and Top Features
By RalphHenry from Raleigh, NC
This AIO has superior resolution to others. Some reviews spoke about a text problem, however you can improve the text via going to settings, display, advanced and 'cleartype text' and follow the steps. Also has 3D display capability which is good for future needs for me. Sound is nice with Jensen speakers. Touch screen is great. WIFI is super and has both 2.4 and 5 GHz ranges with Wireless AC. Very quiet fan. Lenovo support has regressed but is do-able I asked a simple question and the tech had no idea, also the website seems broken in the support area; glad I got Geek Squad. But this AIO is one great machine. price is very reasonable for what you get. Love it.
Intel Has Fix for Display Errors
March 7, 2016
Here's good news after I called and got an update from Lenovo support. The problem of getting errors such as "Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered..." seems to be fixed. But the Lenovo support site does not have the driver version to install since it is still in 'maintenance' or Beta test. However you can get the driver from Intel for their 530 graphics hardware at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25620/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-10-15-40-6th-Gen-?v=t
The driver version is 20.19.15.4352 (you're probably using 4300). Now if you download the driver and run the driver install as you normally do under Windows it will say either you are already at the most current driver level or that your manufacturer has not ok'd the use of this level. But the Lenovo tech helped me install it. Basically you need to go to Device manager, select the Intel HiDef Graphics 530, and click to update the driver. Select to install from your computer and say you have a disk and then select the folder where you unzipped the new 4352 driver stuff. Now it will install this driver. I have not seen the display driver error message any more so it appears that this driver fixes things. I had tried all kinds of combinations of settings for the NVDIA driver (there are two display drivers) in conjunction with the Intel driver thinking that the interaction caused the problems. But hopefully this driver level will work. Call Lenovo if you don't want to try to install it yourself.

Good but some issues
By Mike944
The 4K screen is what sold me. However, it has a lot of glare and not as stunning as you would think for it being 4k display. Also, the video card seems to crash and recover randomly. The system stays on and it recovers well on its own, but it seems to do this regularly nonetheless. Also the keyboard is a very flat, chiclet laptop style keyboard with next to no key travel, resulting in a lot of typing errors. I do not care for this type of keyboard. Otherwise, the performance is pretty snappy with no lag and Windows 10 is a huge improvement over 8.

March 19, 2016
I had the same problem with video card crash and recover. Finally a fix is available I have it installed for 2 weeks and not a single error. You have to download a driver from Intel for 530, it is level 20.19.15.4352 You cannot get it from the Lenovo support site because it is a Beta driver. I stumbled into it because I called IBM support and happened to get a tech who knew about it. Go here to find the driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/88345/Intel-HD-Graphics-530-for-6th-Generation-Intel-Core-Processors Now you need to update the driver but the normal procedure ( go to driver tab in Device Manager...) will result in a message saying you can't install this driver... But if you go to the Device Manager and then right click the device then click on 'update driver software', then flow through browsing on your computer and say 'have disk'... and point where you unzipped the file; it will install it. If you can't weave through the steps just call Lenovo and the tech will show you or Best Buy Geek will show you. I've tested it and it works fine, great not to see those video crash and recovered errors.

Seems Like Phony Customer Support

I had to laugh, the comment from their Customer Support, says sorry for frustration and then cleverly says they'll go ahead and solve your problem by contacting their Customer Support? Yikes, what the @$#&^@.

Good Computer BUT
By BBPurchaser071
After purchasing, the specs on the graphics card is GTX 950A, NOT A 950.Looking up the specs of the 950A, here is what is on NVIDA site: We recommend the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950A for gaming with highest details at resolutions up to, and including, 1280x720. Why would they put in a graphics card in a 4K monitor that can only support great quality up to 1280X720. Taking it back to store.
This PC has Two Graphics Cards
June 5, 2016
You make a good point. This PC has two graphics cards and the other is the Intel HD 530 but I see it recommends only up to 1366x768. I know the display is supposed to handle 3840x2160 and you can select this setting and it works fine. I'm wondering if the limits on each card are overcome because you have both graphics cards? Maybe the manufacturers just undershoot the real capability? Anyway my Lenovo AIO 700 works great and I love it. For the money it is the best deal. I do know that you have to install a new driver for the HD 530, make sure you have 20.19.15.4352 (this is a Beta driver you can get from Intel) If you don't get it, you will get frequent from the HD 530.

Worst Computer Ever
By Disappointed
This computer is very aesthetically pleasing and has great specs. The 4k screen is very nice and the accessories work great.
However...
1.
This computer constantly is crashing citing a graphics card error. Simply browsing the internet or typing a Word document and the screen will constantly be crashing.
2.
The computer will not let me install updates and programs are constantly freezing and crashing. The only programs I have installed are Kaspersky protection suite and Microsoft Office suite.
**One day I turned on my computer and attempted to create a Word document only to find that the computer had deleted the entire office suite! There is no trace it ever existed.
3.
Simple tasks such as opening a program take a ridiculous amount of time. For a solid state hard drive, opening Windows Explorer takes on average 5 MINUTES!!! I have nothing saved on this computer!
I took my computer into Best Buy and paid $150 and they said that they could not find any problem. I will be returning this computer.
DO NOT BUY
Display Error Problem Fixed
August 12, 2016
I once worked at Lenovo & IBM and know a little about display drivers. The problem here is Lenovo's support site recommends the wrong driver level for the Intel 530 Display Driver. All you need to do to automatically fix this is use the Intel Driver Update Utility. Download it and it will show a list of recommend driver updates. For starters just choose the display driver update. At this time it will install level 20.19.15.4463 -> all your problems will go away. You can also let it install any other drivers it may find are down level. It is great. Here is the link to download the utility: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24345/Intel-Driver-Update-Utility By the way, for this computer to allow stuff I use like Windows Live to look better, I change the screen resolution to 1920x1080 and set the text scaling level to 110%. At the price, this is a super wonderful computer but need to make the changes I suggest.

Terrific 2 in 1 Just Make 1 Change
By RalphHenry from Raleigh, NC
This is a steal especially at the sale price. Beautiful touchscreen display, quad core processor albeit not the fastest but 4 cores and made by Intel so not power hungry. Dual Band AC WiFi which is important. Also very solid build, great keyboard. Only thing that slowed it down was 5400 rpm 500GB HDD. Some reviews said slow and it was a bit, but pop in an SSD and it flies super fast. You can use a free program like EASEUS to clone the HDD exactly to the SSD, including the recovery partition etc. Now you keep the old HDD as your instant backup image if needed. 4GB memory appears to be enough. Great function as tablet or tent or normal PC. Very portable which was one of my needs. If you want to step up, get HP's 13.3 inch same as this just bigger, 6GB memory but same tired old 5400 rpm drive problem but you can fix that with an SSD; and this more expensive one has a 6th gen core i3. I couldn't afford the bigger one, but I also liked the smaller 11.6 display anyway. Both have IPS display technology - great.
SSD Can be Swapped in Here's How
August 13, 2016
I did see the instructions you refer to and they are for an x360 Notebook. It is confusing, as this PC is an x360 2in1. HP does take you to the wrong place. But I looked further and HP does provide a Hardware Maintenance Manual for the x360 2/1. It shows you exactly how to get inside and replace anything from the battery to memory to the HDD. I will paste in the link to the manual and it shows you each step. But I'll give you an overview. You do have to be careful but it is not too difficult. First before removing anything I used a free program called EASEUS Backup which cloned the 500 GB HDD to a 500 GB SSD (it makes it identical including the recovery partition). You do need a USB cable to attach the SSD to a USB port on this PC to make the clone. Then basically you remove 12 screws on the bottom and flip it face up and gently pry the keyboard up first at the hinge end. Don't pull the keyboard off all the way as you have to remove two flat cables from their ZIF connectors. ZIF connectors are easy to release but you do have to notice which side of the connector that you flip up. It is easier if someone holds the keyboard up slightly while you release the ZIF's. I was able to do it myself. Once the keyboard is off, you remove 2 screws from the HDD (it says 4 but I only saw 2 screws) and also another ZIF cable to release the HDD from the board. You will have to take the bracket and the cable plug off the hard drive and put them on the SSD. Then reverse the process. I did read that things like memory are not accessible but the HMM also shows you how to remove a shield a small board and boom there is the single 4GB memory card. You can put in an 8GB memory card but I didn't since the SSD gives you tremendous speed improvement that the memory upgrade will only give you slight improvement. Now the link to the 90 page Maintenance & Service Guide (I also saved it to my desktop): http://support.hp.com/us-en/search?q=HP%20Pavilion%20x360%20m1-u001dx%20maintenance%20and%20service%20guide&filter=&product=11084072&pname=HP%20Pavilion%20x360%20m1-u001dx%20(ENERGY%20STAR) If you are concerned, BBuy should be able to do it for you with your cloned SSD for a small fee. There are lots of videos of people doing this level of stuff on the smaller 2/1 laptops, tablets and cell phones that seemingly are not accessible.. I did watch one on ZIF connectors.
