This is a fantastic slow cooker. The probe is easy to program and the LCD display is a god send. I really enjoy cooking with this slow cooker because I no longer have to guess if my food is done. The system sets itself warm when the desired time or temp have been reached. And the clamps on the lid take the worry out of transporting the food to a party or local event.

The tunes are catchy and fun. However the topics are the same relationship themes that permeate all of her work. It would be nice to hear an album with some fresher themes other than dating and relationship issues.

In addition to a presentation of the family classic The Wizard of Oz, this release includes the documentary The Making of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, a look at not only the creation of the movie itself, but how it has remained an American classic for decades.

The product does exactly what it says it does. It allows me to hear stereo sound through with my Xbox 360 headset and communicate over Xbox Live with the headset's microphone.

As a true gamer, part of the gig is that you play video games — a lot. And if you're using a wireless controller, that means you're burning through batteries. But you don't have to. The Energizer 2x Charging System comes with two Energizer Recharge batteries that are fully compatible with Xbox One controllers and save you a trip to the store every time they die. You can now keep your controllers ready to go whenever you are. This Microsoft-Licensed Energizer 2X Charging System allows you to easily charge up to two Xbox One controllers at once, so you're always ready for the next adventure. Check the status of your battery pack while it's charging thanks to green and red LED lights. The 2x conductive charger provides quick charging, so you can get back to the action. Stop wasting money on disposable batteries and keep gaming longer with Energizer.

It's hard to review a product when there is no competition to compare it to. I do find the controller too sensitive. Other than that feels like the Xbox 360 controller. If you want to play Xbox games this is the best product on the market because it's the only production the market.

Windows 8.1 made this a great product

Good:
Office and Network integration. Why is network integration such a black hole for IOs and Android? Microsoft will use Cloud, home network resources, and business network resources with little effort on the customer's part to setup. My primary reason for purchasing this is my frustration with the hoops I have to jump through to simply read, edit, and save the multitude of documents I have on my home NAS server. I mapped a D: drive for my network. That's it. Now I can open any file on my network, edit it, and save it back to the original location. I have a Samsung Note 10.1 2014 edition, one of the most advanced tablets on the planet, and it can't even do that simple task. Instead Android and IOs slave you to the cloud and rely upon third parties to implement something meaningful in their applications. I haven't seen a good implementation model yet from their party devs on either Android or IOs.
I also like the improvements with 8.1. The tablet is starting to feel more like a true mobile experience than the late 8.0 version did. The screen is bright. The Touch and Type 2 keyboards are fully supported. The hardware feels great. I haven't seen any hesitation in my apps thus far. Internet explorer is slower than I would like but it displays everything as I would expect to see them on my PC.
Office RT is an excellent inclusion. I realize that Microsoft is targeting students with this platform but it's a great inclusion for anyone interested in an office suite that works. So far everything I can do on Office 2013 on my desktop I can do on the Surface RT. The best part is I can save the doc to my network for sharing across all of my MS devices.
The not so good:
First, and there is no sugar coating this, the update process to 8.1 is long. You can stick with 8.0 if you want but I'm telling you now that 8.0 was ill conceived, slow, and total garbage. When you log in make yourself a Windows Live ID, log in, and head straight to the store for the 8.1 update. It should be the first thing the pops up on the screen from the store interface. Plug the device into the wall and update. Go eat dinner and watch a movie. The update along with supplemental updates will take a few hours at best. Be patient.
Text isn't as clear as I would like it to be. But that's a resolution issue that was resolved with a higher res screen on the Surface 2. The desktop is still around. For 8.1 MS did allow some pinch and zoom functions in some of the native desktop apps like Office. That was most welcome. You don't have strain your eyes reading email anymore.
And the kick stand is great if you are sitting at a dinner table at normal dinner eating height. Other than that it can prove to be a challenge finding a comfortable location to read the screen. Again, this was addressed in Surface RT 2.
Conclusion:
I got this tablet for $199 over the Black Friday month of sales. I am very happy with my purchase. My Samsung Galaxy 2014 and iPad have decidedly taken a back seat to the Surface. Android, minus all the hype, is simply not there yet. I bought the Samsung for some of the specific features of this product and nothing more. And iPad is an entertainment platform. Look around sometime and you'll see most folks with IOs products are playing games. The RT is definitely slower than most 2013 tablet systems but the features and value, even on the first gen platform, are well worth the price I paid.

Nice but not Great

Pros: Great Screen, good sound, Mainstream applications like Netflix work without a hitch, Spen, Haptic feedback with keyboard, fully featured keyboard, can remote desktop into Windows with the Remote Desktop App.
Cons: Short battery life, Poor integration with Cloud, no Integration with Private Networks (at least nothing I can find), Application Permissions are too broad in scope (why does a recipe application require access to my contacts, accounts, and snap photos without my permission?), cannot turn off keyboard auto correct, cannot make the keyboard simply vanish or resize/change shape, at the click of a button, Spen needs more applications (Why is my note pad on a 10.1 keyboard so small?) Spen needs better integration into apps (sourly lacking in innovation Samsung - please make this the tool to have), Case is $80.
Samsung, you can keep the case. I'm not buying it for $80.
Over all I am happy with this tablet. Personally, I would have gone with the Windows Surface Pro 2 however I had some defective hardware, returned it, and went with plan B due to time constraints. The Samsung Tablet is chock full of features. I've had this for three weeks and I'm still finding stuff. And that's an issue with this product. I'm finding my way around the system and the interface. Also, Android, as a whole, doesn't integrate with home network well. If you have a folder share someone where on your network you'll have to find another way to share those photos and files. I haven't found a way yet to map a network drive. And cloud integration is still infantile at best. If I edit a document in cloud storage the edit is saved locally somewhere in the bowels of Android. I have to dig it out and then use magic to upload my edits back to the cloud. Come on Google.

Mine must have been defective

I've been a Windows 8 user since it came out. I was looking forward to 8.1 and the improvements therein. I also was very excited about the Surface 2. I bought one the day it came out and, unfortunately, returned it the next day. I truly tried to love this machine but I just couldn't see myself suffering through all of the issues I was uncovering. After reading many other reviews, and witnessing an old man with a law background do things with his table that I, a 20 year IT vet couldn't, have to conclude that my product was defective.
First, the system kept crashing. I've been running Windows 8 on a full PC for some time now and haven't once seen it crash. The screen would simply freeze and display strange graphic artifacts. Second, the backlight was all messed up and unevenly light the screen. I could see this when the screen was completely dark such as right before a Netflix movie launches. Both cameras took horrible, grainy photos and videos. One feature I was looking forward too was the sync between Windows desktops using your Windows Live account. However, this seemed to have really screwed up the tablet and removed some key applications from view. Performing a hard reset and not binding my Live ID to the tablet solved that issue.
Finally, I feel that MS needs to divorce itself from the Windows Desktop on the mobile front. It's a must have when working on a PC. But from a system that is purely RT I feel that Office and related products could have benefited from the RT experience and not simply a desktop experience. It got rather confusing when I click on Word I got dumped to the old desktop and then launched Word. Pinch and zoom does not work with the ribbon bar and, for some reason, didn't work with my documents either.
I wanted to use this as a remote terminal for the other systems on my network. I couldn't get them to talk or the connection kept dropping.
I tried to use Miracast to broadcast to my TV. The two would see each other but wouldn't sync. That old man I spoke about earlier not only go his to sync but was doing everything I wanted to do with my Surface with little to no IT training. Put all this together and I truly feel that I had a defective unit. Why am I writing this review then. Well, MS let me down. And second if you are seeing these same behaviors I urge you to exchange your model for another one. Apart from the operating system I'm sure your experience will be different.
One final note. There is a lot of great technology here and some really innovative ideas. I was surprised by the small attention to details. The Keyboard rocks and the kick stand is indispensable. The touch screen is very responsive. And the unit simply feels well made. I just couldn't get past the technical issues that was dragging down my experience. I needed something quick so I ended up purchasing a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. Talk about a mess of a system but it got me close to where I wanted to be. I'll write up that review soon.

Fantastic Keyboard

This, by far, is the best portable keyboard I have ever used for a portable device. I've owned Apple and Android devices and tried a host of blue tooth keyboards. All I ever got over blue tooth was maybe every other or every third character not being captured by the device while I typed. I type over 100 words a minute so you can imagine how frustrating constantly slowing down to correct my words ever other second. This keyboard blows away anything that a blue tooth keyboard offers. It kept up with my typing speed and I never once felt like I had to slow down for my device. If you purchase this keyboard you will not be disappointed. The price is a bit out there however everyone seems to be charging a premium for even the most inexpensive, trivial mobile accessories these days.

Are these noise cancelling for gyms that play really loud music?

No, they are not noise cancelling. They do come with three silicon ear canal adapters: small, medium, and Large. You can block out some sound if you use a connector that fits snuggly in the ear canal. This will muffle and not canceling outside noise.

Enjoy engaging simulations and immersive visuals with this Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop. The Radeon graphics card offers 4GB of dedicated video memory for efficient rendering performance, and the 2.GHz AMD Ryzen processor and 8GB of RAM provide ample computing power. This Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop has a 1TB hard drive for your collection.

Not computer savvy. Love playing games but also surfing the web and photos. Just looking for a "standalone" that I can take anywhere...outside or in my room with no wires and connections. Is this good for that? And can I connect to a printer? Thanks!

If I understand you correctly, you want to know if you can surf the web, view photos, and connect to a wireless printer. Correct?

You can use this computer to surf the web, view photos, and connect to a wireless printer. You will need to a wireless network, of some kind, in order to surf the web without a wired connection. The printer could be connected to your wireless network or you could connect over bluetooth. It depends on your printer. My Acer Nitro 5 is connected wirelessly to my network, the internet, and my printer. If you are unsure of how to setup a wireless network, connect your laptop, or connect wirelessly to your printer, then I you will want to speak with your local Best Buy Geek Squad representative. They should be able to get you going. Hope this helps!

What sub woofer matches up well with Pioneer Elite VSX-44?

That really depends on your other speakers and your room. I'm using the ESW-C10 with B&W 685 Bookshelf speakers and couldn't be happier with the arrangement. The ESW-C10 is a bit big for my small room so I keep the volume turned down but it does a great job shaking the room during movies and mixes well with any music or TV programs I've thrown at them.

ive been told i need to buy a network plan with a monthly charge. Or can i just use wifi?
No Surface product has native support for a Cell carrier such as ATT, Sprint, etc.... All you have is WiFi. If you have internet in your home with a WiFi router or some other device to server your WiFi enabled devices, then you have everything you need. Just make sure your connection is password protected and encrypted. You can also turn off the WiFi on the tablet, Airplane mode, and use it offline. I hope that answers your question.

Can I download PFD files from Internet Explorer to the Microsoft Surface RT?

Can I download PFD files from Internet Explorer to the Microsoft Surface RT, then view them without internet connection?
Yes you can. First go to the Microsoft Store and pick up the Free Adobe Acrobat Reader application. Then you can open PDFs from your flash drive, desktop, network locations, or even the web. Do keep in mind that your ability to open some PDFs from the web is also dependent upon the source of your PDFs. Finally, the surface, as I have experienced with most tablets, do have a difficult time with very large PDF files sizes and very complex PDFs. This is typically an issue with the small amount of RAM you have on a tablet as compared to a modern PC. (2GB on Surface RT and up to 64 GB on a PC). The amount of RAM does make a difference.

Syncing with a Windows 7 Laptop.

Will this version of Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition be able to sync with my laptop and thus allow me to control it from the laptop, like the Samsung Tab 2 allows? This also mean I would be able to view content like pics and music from my laptop to my tablet and vice or verser.
I've found that the Galaxy 2014 edition doesn't sync well with anything. Or I haven't found the app or the feature or the best kept secret desktop app that will allow it. I'm thinking of something like iTunes that will sync everything for me and backup my device.

I have found a few work arounds the may interest you.

1) You can upload all of your photos and files to an SD card. You can then move the SD card between the computer and the tablet. Kind of 10 years go I know but there you go.

2) You can plug your tablet directly into the laptop with the USB cable that is connected to your power cord. Then you can easily move items between the tablet and your Laptop using the very useful Windows Explorer App. Thank you Microsoft.

3) If you want to take control of your laptop from your tablet then you can download another nifty Microsoft tool called Microsoft Remote Desktop. You will also have to allow remote connections in Windows on our laptop to make this work. I've already taken over my desktop to edit photos from my tablet. It works very well. However, there is no pinch and zoom. So if you can't read a word when you pull it up on the screen then there isn't anything you are going to do about it. There are other remote desktop apps that may give you additional features. X2 is one I used for my Ipad and is also available on Google Play.

4)Laptop taking control of the Tablet? I haven't heard anything about this. I do know, however, that Samsung saved all the best software for this own devices. Sync easily between your Samsung laptop and your device. However, this is only software and Samsung could be a hero and release it to the rest of their paying customers. I've seen the Samsung Laptops. I won't be buying one anytime soon.
