Had the stove for 2 days and when it was first installed i used the oven first...because i knew it would smoke/smell for the first hour or so of use. put it on 350 degrees for like the first 20mins. then i cranked it up to 450 for 10mins. then i cranked it all the way up to about 500 degrees for the remaining 30mins. It only smoked for about 10mins...But the smell was pretty *chemically* for about an hour or so. Then only faintly remaining with each use after...finally going away with the 3rd use.
I baked a frozen pizza...and followed the instructions using the min. cook time. Came out perfect. My old stove would have burned it.
I also baked some choc. chip cookies. Again i baked them until the cookies min. cook time...Came out perfect.
I also popped some popcorn on the stove using a stainless steel pot...No burned kernels. As far as i am concerned for the price...this stove is a steel! It's not the best, not the worst...But coming from a cr4ppy 15+ year ken more...I feel like i just bought the best stove on the market. Also if something happens to it..i won't feel as sad because i didn't use my life savings for a OVEN. Ha! P.S It looks very nice in my kitchen..accompanies my new stainless LG fridge.
