A Review From Experience
on July 22, 2017

I've had the Phantom 3 Standard, Phantom 4, and now have purchased the Phantom 4 Pro. Let me tell you, this is the Lamborghini of drones, and is an absolute joy to fly.
I could talk for hours about this- but you'd primarily buy this drone for video quality over portability. It records 4k60fps at 100mbps with a 1inch sensor, which in nerd means that it captures much more detail in your videos than the standard 60mbps 1/2.3 sensor seen in the other DJI drones. However in my experience, I'd rather devote the 100mpbs to 4k30fps.
If you don't need near-professional picture quality or would like something that fits in your pocket, buy the DJI Mavic Pro. It can fit in your pocket, and can shoot footage similar to the original Phantom 4, which is pretty good. It's surprisingly just as stable and has most of the same features (except 360 obstacle avoidance).
But as I moved my up through the DJI drones, I've learned that I want the best, especially so that I am not disappointed later. For me, I would always think: "well if I had the Pro it would look this much better". If you think you'll think like that, get this drone. The caveat is that it is much more difficult to travel with it (as opposed to the Mavic), but the footage pays off in the end. Please make sure to buy an extra battery- otherwise, you'll be a little disappointed.

The Best Choice for Any Home

Before purchasing this product, I spent hours researching the possible options for my home. Wifi mesh systems are somewhat of a new breed, so I was hesitant when considering the Velop over the tried and tested router system. As someone who lives in an area much greater than the purported 6,000 square feet, I was worried that both performance and coverage would suffer. With that in mind, I purchased the Velop to test and see if it could handle the entire area, remaining skeptical along the way.
Much to my surprise, the Velop was able to handle every inch of the property, including the front and back yard. What was more surprising was that the speed provided by my ISP (70mbps) was maxed out almost everywhere, occasionally dropping slightly as distance increased. Let me tell you, the Velop is expensive, but is the best in its class. Essentially, being a Tri-band system with MIMO capability is rendered future-proof.
Administration of the system is done through their app, which makes it easy to change settings. However, it is not exactly refined at the moment, and resulted in being a pain to set up. But apart from that, I see no reasons separating this router other than budget. Yes, Google Wifi and other systems are cheaper, but they do not offer the coverage and the ability to deliver faster speeds at greater distances.
