I have been using my Nikon D750 paired with my Nikon 200/500 lens and i have been happy with it. Then a friend recommended trying this lens.. I did and was very surprised at the quality of this lens and how sharp it was even at wide open 6.3 I have nothing negative to say about this lens except for the weight... I thought the nikon was heavy... This feels like it is twice the weight of it.. I didnt much care about the weight because i shoot on a tripod nearly almost all the time but the few time i have shot this lens hand held and i have been able to pull off some incredible shots.... The focus speed on this lens compared to the nikon is like comparing a race car to an electric car... the sigma is super fast and acurate The dock station seems like a waste but it is something that you will need in due time unless you want to send the lens back to sigma for up dates... you can change you lens focus speed and how it locks on to the subject and stays locked on.... I dont really use any of the Custom functions, I set it on os 2 for hand held and os off while on the tripod

I went in to get a different pen and of course they where out of stock, So i got this one since it was the only one that they had. Got home and was excited to be ale to get all the smears off my lens...... all it seemed to do was move smears around the lens and leave a ton of dust on the lens.. Yes it was only 10$ but after selling enough of them the company will make its money and its not worth the 35 minute drive to return it so it went in the trash. Dont buy this it is a waste of money...use a blower and a soft brush to get the heavy stuff off ( sand small rocks) and then spray a little eye glass cleaner on wipe dry with a good quality eye glass lint free cloth.

OK so i shoot birds, well i try LoL.. This lens gives me the reach that i need. I shoot this on aD7200 and was surprised at the quality of the pictures.. The lens seems to be sharper at the 200 and 300MM range above that it seems to loose some of it sharpness. Now this can be because of the weight of it and me holding the lens.. Pros? Price Focal Range Quality Cons? Weight

So i will try to make this short. First DSLR 10 years ago was a nikon d40... used it for about 2 weeks and just never felt good to me... so then i switched to a canon 40D and fell in live with... fast foward to 2 months ago. I went to the store and purchased a 7DMKii, Used it for a few weeks and i shoot everday and i just never felt like the pictures where top notch and with a 300MM canon L Prime lens i expected sharp pictures... So after many calls to best buy and there sales man telling me that nikon is way better i finally broke down and grabbed the Nikon D7200 and paired it with there 200/500 lens. My first impressions where not good.. But after taking a few days and getting myself out of my routine with canon i can say that i am please with the picture quality... I thought that i was going to miss the 10 FPS that the canon has and the nikon does not but i really dont. 1 more thing to look at is the canon is 1500 on sale and the nikon is 1050 on sale so your getting better picture quality and more from your camera for less and more mega pixels.. The reason i gave it 4 starts is for the FPS, Other wise it would have gotten 5 I tried to upload a picture but they are to big
