I knew they would sound good, but I didn't think they could sound this good! I'm far from a newbie when it comes to headphones. I've owned many many brands of topname earbuds and headphones over the years and I know what sounds good and what doesn't. Apple has really created something good here. These sound amazing. They are louder than I thought they would be and when I download a good equalizer for my iPhone they sound stellar!
I highly recommend them! I can't wait for,the second generation and hopefully they will add more features and cut down the size of the stems that stick out of my ears. It would be nice if I could control volume and tracks right from the earbuds without having to use Siri. Otherwise I'd give them 5 stars..I love them already!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I received the Bose Quiet Control 30 headphones to do an honest review of them. My first thought was .." Who wants to wear a horse collar around all day!?" Anyway, I unpackaged them ,paired them with my phone and put them on. The "Horse collar" is so light you don't even know it's there. The wires are so thin that there is absolutely no resistance when I turn my head like other earbuds I have. I can even wear them with a high collar coat and there is no catching ,friction or resistance from any of the wires or components. That was a big concern for me. I hate wearing earbuds or headphones and having wires catch my coat or bind when I turn my head. The stayhear earbuds really stay put. I wear them at work and it's a very physical job with a lot of bending, turning, and moving and I really don't have to cram the earbuds back in my ears at all when they wiggle loose because they don't wiggle loose or out.Very nice! The noise canceling is amazing! I work in a very noisy environment and you'd be amazed at the amount of sound they cancel out! You wouldn't think you would need noise canceling with earbuds but let me tell you, until you actually cancel out the noise you can't believe how much is getting mixed in with your music! When I want to close everyone out at work I can dial up the noise canceling, but when I need to hear what's going on I can dial it down. They are great for in the car or traveling. Again, mega amounts of noise kept out, music in. The sound quality is exceptionally good. The battery life is very good. The comfort is phenomenal. I only wish the controls were on the left side instead of the right. The case that came with them is small and light and easy to carry. I really love these headphones much better than I thought I would! I can't find much I don't like about them. Get some!

How Often Used:Daily
I've owned Bose products before and found them to be very good, high quality electronics. This is the first set of headphones from Bose that I've owned. I have the latest apple earbuds and to me, they are the best sounding ear/headphones you can buy. But, I wanted something wireless so I chose the bose ae2W wireless headphones.
Right out if the box you can tell they are built with a lot of thought and quality. They are very light and extremely comfortable. I can wear them for hours and I forget they are there. But it's winter time and I wonder if in summer they will be hot to wear. Anyway, they are very easy to pair, and when I re- connect to my iPhone or iPad the connection is instantaneous! Very nice!
They hold a charge for at least 6 to 8 hours and I wonder how that is possible since the battery is in the Bluetooth module and it seems like it barely weighs half an ounce!
The sound is as good as I thought it would be. I can tell no distinction between listening wireless or using the cord. Sometimes with Bluetooth you lose a bit of sound quality but I haven't notice much of that.
The only thing I dislike is the volume level. It's loud enough but I like my headphones to jar your head like the apple ear buds do. With the apple earbuds I can feel, the bass not just hear it. With the Bose I can hear it very clearly and naturally but I don't feel much bass.
Audio books or videos sound amazing. Crisp an clear.
I also thought that for the price they would at least be noise canceling but they do block most of the outside noise with out noise canceling . I thought for the price they would be louder as we'll but they are good enough.
For wireless headphones the Bose Ae2W are very good sounding and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend them to anybody .
What's great about it: Very comfortable
What's not so great: Only minor issues

Apple makes great tablets

I have owned a first Gen a second gen and a third GEN iPad and I didn't know if there would really be much difference between the third-generation and the iPad air. The cameras are the same, the screen resolution is the same, the battery life is the same. Much is the same. But in picking up the iPad air you right away notice the difference in weight. It feels so light, and of course it's narrower. The a7 chip done better is side by side tests with the 3 rd gen iPad. Apps open faster pages loaded faster. But ironically the third-generation iPad seemed to do better in 4G LTE side-by-side tests even though Apple has added better antennas.
I don't know if the speakers are different than the speakers in the third-generation iPad, but sound seems louder and it seems like the unibody make sort of a sound chamber to amplify the sound with the iPad air.
Overall the faster and lighter iPad air seems a good enough reason to upgrade if your current iPad owner.
What's great about it: Much lighter
What's not so great: No cam upgrade,in fact much is the same

Good enough case

It's a good case. I'm sure it will evolve over time to become a great case but for now it offers my ipad some much needed protection. I started with a griiffin defender case and that is a good case but its heavy and adds a lot of size to the ipad, which kind of defeats the purpose of the ipad.plus the griffins has a cheap screen protector that attracts dust and cuts down on the picture clarity. The ipad case covers the screen when I'm not using it and keeps it clean at the same time. The smart case is light, thin and really helps improve the grip on the semi- slippery ipad aluminum frame. It has a built in stand with the cover but I wish it set the ipad up higher for reading .its good for the movie watching upright position but in the lay down position the ipad only sets an 1 1/2 off the table which isn't quite enough for me.. Overall I like the case though..I'd recommend it to a friend..
What's great about it: Nice fit, good but not great protection
What's not so great: The cover flap should overhang the case so you can open it easier
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bluetooth cuts out constantly
By Kinnick
I've been waiting for these earbuds for a long time, and I have to say I'm somewhat disappointed so far. The sound quality is good, and the noise cancellation is excellent (although not as good as the QC 20s or QC 35s, surprisingly). And they are much more comfortable than they look--you might think that the neck band would be problematic, but it's so light that you forget it's even there, even after hours of usage.
So there's a lot of good here. And just one drawback, but it's a doozy: Bluetooth connectivity.
I experienced it first when walking from room to room when the QC 30s were paired to my iPhone. I thought maybe the Bluetooth range wasn't great--not ideal for a $300 pair of earbuds, but not a deal breaker. But this morning I paired the QC 30s with my brand new Apple Watch, and the same exact thing happened. I experienced the dreaded sound of drops, skips, and re-starts while going for a jog--it was if I'd been morphed back into the early 90s and was trying to jog while balancing a portable disc player on one elbow.
To me, lousy Bluetooth connectivity IS a deal breaker. I can live with less noise cancellation effectiveness and a weak Bluetooth signal range, but it absolutely HAS to work with the Apple Watch (or any smart watch that is right there on your person). Unless this is a known issue that Bose plans a firmware upgrade for, I will probably end up exchanging these to see if I needed up with a defective unit. If the same problem continues, then I guess I'll be returning these altogether and waiting for the QC 40s debut. Disappointed but still optimistic that maybe I just got a bad pair--will update this review accordingly.

Beware
By Alan
I sold my wired Bose ear buds to buy reg wireless version. Big mistake. The noise cancelling which is the most important is not as good. I can have music on and still have a conversation along with outside noise. Not with the wired version. You hear wind noise with the slightest breeze. You have no way to plug into an airplane plug to hear music or movies. I will return them and lost money for selling my great wired ones. My mistake.

I have both versions as well and the QC 30's block just as much noise and the wired versions and I can't hear any conversations. If you are getting outside noise could it be the eartips size?

Where is the mic located on this unit? Does the location of the mic hinder the ability for others hearing you speak while using it during phone conversations?

The mics are located on the ear pieces. I've use this for calls and asked people how I sound. They say I sound very clear and natural.

Has anyone used these with equipment like lawn mowers or leaf blowers? How was it?

I've used them with a riding lawn mower and they close out an amazing amount of noise. I hate mowing without them.

I bought Bose OE2i Audio Headphones almost 1year with my iPhone 4S and I often use it at night before going to bed. Recently, its audio cable was almost cut accidentally. I'm so sad with this and I have been searching for the replacement, but I haven't yet. Today, I just found a cable of Bose AE2i in Boss website with has inline remote and microphone. My question is that does it can be used this cable Bose AE2i with Bose OE2i ? I want to control my music and talk as the same as before.

Really, no Bose headset like the AE2i with mic for android phones? What a shame.....

Headsets with a mic option for androids seem hard to come by, everyone sells mic3. Given the size of the android market quite a remarkable censure.
I agree,..but the Bose Ae2w will work just fine with android!

Due to hearing problems, I watch all television with headphones. Will the AE2i's volume control work with televisions?

Is the microphone quality good?

The cable on the AE2i headphones includes an in-line remote and microphone. I was wondering if the quality on the microphone was any good.
The mic is good on the ae2w and I would say if it's Bose than it will be very good!

The only way they will work with TV is if the TV is bluetooth enables. Most Tvs aren't because people generally run them through a sound system
