A decent alternative for a typical computer

The Acer Chromebook with Chrome OS is a decent laptop with excellent battery life for those looking for a simpler approach to using a computer. No complicated menus, no difficulty accessing resources, and so on. But even then, you have a familiar interface that anyone who has used a Windows/Android device (even just a little bit) will get an idea of how to interact with Chrome OS. Even if someone has no experience using a computer, they will have an easy time using and interacting with the Acer Chromebook.
The hardware specifications are considered decent for what this Acer Chromebook is trying to achieve and some of the specs are very similar to what a mid-range Android tablet would have. Onboard the Acer Chromebook, you get 4GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (you won’t get access to the full 16GBs since the OS will require some of that space), Bluetooth connectivity, 802.11ac wireless LAN, various ports like an audio jack, two USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI port to connect your peripherals, a 15.6” Acer ComfyView LCD, and some great integrated speakers.
The Acer Chromebook is great for doing one or two things at the same time. Such as writing a document up using Google Docs and performing online research or perhaps listening to some music or a YouTube video in a different tab. One of the best and most recent features of Chrome OS is the access to the Play Store, which was normally only available to Android OS powered devices such as Smartphones, Tablets, etc. What this means is that you can install and use applications from the Play Store on the Acer Chromebook, which greatly increases the variety and amount of software/applications that can be used on the Chromebook.
Now, let’s get into my list of issues with the Acer Chromebook. I am a heavy multitasker and I’m constantly using a large number of applications at the same time (as well as having anywhere between 20 to 50+ tabs open in various Google Chrome windows). When you try to multitask on the Acer Chromebook, you will quickly realize where its limitations are. One simple test I tried was to open up four different websites in a single Google Chrome window at the same time and as each site loaded, you could instantly see a drop in performance. Both in how the browser was handling the request and how quickly the page could be loaded. The Acer Chromebook will work well when you are focused on one to two specific things, but the performance will soon drop as you try to perform more tasks at the same time.
Furthermore, if you do not make use of the Play Store to download applications that can make use of the local storage, you’re pretty much required to be online at all time. Most if not all of the applications “installed” on the Acer Chromebook (Google Docs, Google Sheets, to name a few) are just hyperlinks that will open a new tab/window for Google Chrome to access the app online. And if for whatever reason, you cannot access a WiFi access point or there is no WiFi access point, you really have no other alternative. Unless you have and use an external USB to Ethernet adapter (which to my surprise Chrome OS was able to recognize and connect to the internet via this adapter with no prompts, you got to love Plug and Play) as there is no integrated Ethernet port.
So long story short, the Acer Chromebook is great for simple tasks and a little bit of multitasking. The ability to download and install applications from the Play Store greatly expands what the Acer Chromebook can do. The battery life is amazing at giving you up to 12 hours of usage, which will definitely get you through the day, but the Acer Chromebook is not for everyone. If you are in the market for a device that can perform similar functions of an Android tablet, but provides you with a full sized keyboard, standard sized screen, with some extra ports that are normally not found on a tablet, then the Acer Chromebook might be a good fit for you.

It works well... sometimes a little to well

Malwarebytes 3.0 aims to be your ultimate weapon against online threats and can function as a potential replacement for your current anti-virus software and it has done quite well for me in that regard so far. Installation was a breeze and once you have downloaded their software and activated your product key, you're good to go. You can pretty much set it and forget it after the installation is complete. Malwarebytes 3.0 provides real-time protection with the following features: web protection, exploit protection, malware protection, and ransomware protection.
Now for a minor issue that bugged me when it came up. Sometime after installing the product, I decided to launch a video game to enjoy some free time. For the record, the game I was trying to play requires online access and when the game attempted to connect online, Malwarebytes prompted me with warning messages and blocking the connections being requested by my game. Luckily it didn't take much to whitelist my game and was able to connect with no issue afterwards. So after that, I decided to add my games folder to the exceptions list to avoid having this happen again. But that has been the only issue so far, I haven't run into that issue when browsing the internet or streaming online content.
Besides this one minor issue, this is a solid product for anyone looking for something extra to add-on to their current security setup or completely replace your existing anti-virus software.

Gets the job done, but a minor issue with the app

The 1000X Wireless Noise Cancelling Behind-the-Neck Headphones by Sony proves that you can have the best of both worlds when it comes to compact/lightweight and noise cancelling headphones. But as you can imagine, there is a bit of a limitation with these headphones. In order for the headphones to work properly, it is recommended to use the Sony Headphones app which allows you to control how the headphones adapt to your environment. This is where the noise cancellation comes into play.
I was trying these headphones out on a recent flight, but ran into an issue using the Sony Headphones app. For some reason, when my data connection is not available, the app would instantly crashed. No matter if I tried to reset the application, restart my device, it would just continue to crash, even though it was just working fine. This was a problem since I couldn't properly fine-tune the headphones for the airplane environment I was on. Even then, the headphones did an good job of keep surrounding noises limited while I enjoyed my movie.
The other issue I ran into and could be a big problem for other people is the in-the-ear headphone style. No matter what I did, I ended up causing some slight pain after using the headphones for an hour or two. Overall, a great Wireless Noise Cancelling Behind-the-Neck Headphones if you don't mind the occasional glitch and have a preference for in-the-ear style headphones.

Great for business and light entertainment

Operating at 3600 lumens, this projector can work really well even in rooms that are fully lit. Even though this projector is made for business use and can handle such functions with extreme ease, this projector can also be used in an entertainment/home setting for personal use. Setting up the projector for use is simple and straightforward. Even from the first moment that you unbox the projector, you can be up and running in just a few minutes. As long as you have all the necessary cables to connect the projector to your computer or a multimedia device. You can also connect to the projector via Wi-Fi when connected to the same wireless network and it works with the same quality that you would expect when physically connected to the projector.
One of the other features that this projector has that is quite uncommon in most other projectors is the fact that it has a built-in speaker. Now granted, the built-in speaker isn't going to handle all of your audio needs but it is great to have in a pinch and would only recommend using the speaker in a small room or when people are near the projector. If the projector is hanging from the ceiling, it would be best to have some other means of providing the audio for your presentation or multimedia needs.

The Merge Cube allows users of the Merge VR Goggles to interact with games and other applications that support the Merge Cube. The Merge Cube works like a big cubed barcode. Once a Merge Augmented Reality application recognizes the Merge Cube from your rear facing camera, you can then use the Merge Cube to interact with the AR app you're in. It's really cool to be able to manipulate a real life object and have that reflect in the application you are using in AR.
Just keep in mind that in order to get the best results out of the Merge Cube, make sure you are using it with the Merge VR Goggles and applications that support the Merge Cube. The Merge Cube by itself will not do anything other than act like a light paperweight.

The Merge VR Goggles is a well built Virtual Reality (VR) headset and gives you all the thrills available in VR with an Android or iOS device. This headset can also handles Augmented Reality (AR) by using the rear camera on your Android or iOS device. The headset is very comfortable to wear as it's made of a soft yet sturdy material and the head strap is easily adjustable. Adjusting the lenses for VR or AR use is pretty straightforward as well. The mobile device I used with the Merge VR Goggles was the Google Pixel and I had no issues getting apps to run in VR or AR mode when inserted into the Merge VR Goggles.

The H9 Series 4K ULED HDR Smart TV by Hisense gives you everything that you want from a 4K TV while maintaining a relatively thin form factor. First and foremost, whenever you are watching a movie or using some sort of media that can take advantage of the 4K resolution of this TV, it looks absolutely amazing. The colors are vibrant and you can see the differences between a very wide spectrum of colors. This continues to be true whenever playing media that is below 4K resolution, such as at 1080P. The sound quality is great on its own, but it can definitely be enhanced with some external speakers.
This is a Smart TV, so you are able to connect the TV to your wired or wireless network and use some online services straight from the remote control. Such as Netflix, YouTube, and so forth. It can be a bit of a pain to try and type using the onscreen keyboard, but considering that the TV is handling all of this without a third party device, this is just a minor inconvenience that you can get use to over time. A small word of advice, even though this TV is super thin it weighs a bit over 50 pounds and its overall length is quite wide, so you will need at least two people working together to do anything with this TV. To move it out of its box, laying it down so that the support legs can be attached, placing the TV onto a TV stand or mounting it onto a wall.

Setting up the Omna 180 is simple, just download their mobile app and following the simple instructions to connect your Omna to your wireless network. Even with this impressive 180 degree view, what makes it even more impressive is that while using the app, you can zoom in on the camera view to get a closer look at something in particular and move left or right while zoomed in.
The Omna 180 is a great camera for those that want to keep things off the cloud or would like to maintain their camera footage offline. The Omna 180 has a memory slot on board that utilizes a microSD card to record video onto it, which can be viewed using the Omna mobile app. The only drawback to using this sort of system is that if say someone were to enter your home or office and say... take the camera with them, you no longer have the video evidence of someone being present. The other thing that might make this camera a bit noticeable is that fact that it stands as tall as a can of soda. And unless you have the perfect spot for where the camera can sit and blend in, people will notice that there is a camera there. Also, it tends to run a little hot, so make sure that you can keep it somewhat ventilated.
Overall, a great camera to have at home or in the office to be able to keep an eye on things while you're away or somewhere else in your home or office. With the easy setup, it doesn't take much to get this camera up and running.

The robot that tried but missed the mark

Automation can be great and simplify normal everyday tasks to give us more free time to do what we want to do. The Roomba 890 by iRobot tries to help and take care of cleaning up your floors when you’re not around or you’re just pre-occupied with other things. Depending on where you place this robot, it can definitely handle the task of cleaning up. The problem is, you need a fairly open unobstructed area for this robot to work properly.
For example, I mainly used this robot in my kitchen area that has hardwood floors and also has a table and a few chairs nearby. The robot would constantly route itself into the table area and struggle with the chairs as it tries to clean. It made the effort to try and avoid the chair it confronted, only to be met with a different chair and a new challenge.
The first time setup is very simple and straight forward. You can give your robot a name and connect it to your WiFi network, so that you can control additional features on the robot. Like setting a cleaning schedule, remotely start or stop the robot, and so forth. The charging base works as the robot’s home base and will make a solid effort to return to the charging base after a cleaning so that it charge itself. As you can imagine, the robot had its moments trying to get onto the charging base and was hit or miss.
Overall, this robot is great if you have a wide open space that needs to be cleaned, with little or no other objects in the way of the robot. The simple to use mobile app allows you to know what your robot is doing and control certain functions remotely with your smartphone.

Amazing audio with seamless use

This thing packs a huge punch. With nine speakers and a built-in subwoofer, this Samsung 3-Channel Hi-Res Soundbar is amazing when watching a movie or a TV show. And to my amusement, it gets better. Besides the usual methods of hooking up this Samsung Soundbar to a television, you also have the ability to connect it via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. So that means you can use your computer via Wi-Fi or any device that supports Bluetooth to play audio through this Samsung Soundbar. Setup is a breeze, just keep in mind that this device is somewhat long and will require extra room.
This Soundbar comes with its own remote control to adjust some of the various functions such as Bass, Tremble, Source, etc. When using this Soundbar with your TV and the TV is also a Samsung one, you can use your Samsung TV remote to control the volume and other functions on the Soundbar. So it can seamlessly integrate with your home entertainment system and now you have one less remote control to worry about.

What is there NOT to like about this tablet? Well.. besides it not having a slot for an SD card to add on to the available storage. After you start it up and update it (had to do it twice right out of the box). It comes with stock Android 4.3 with not Bloatware in sight. It is fast, easy to use, and just the right size to do pretty much anything. I use this tablet for both personal and business. Plenty of applications to accomplish a myriad of tasks or to waste time when you need to.

The TV has to have the ability to connect to devices via Bluetooth. For example, some Samsung TV's come with integrated Bluetooth adapters (since their remotes are connected via Bluetooth) that can connect to a device such as these JBuds Air Sport True Wireless In-Ear Headphones. If your TV does not have bluetooth built-in, you will not be able to connect these to the TV. You will have to perform an internet search for your TV and see if it comes with a Bluetooth adapter.

I tested these headphones with a RAVPower power bank and they were able to charge just fine.

I tested this out and it looks like you cannot use these headphones while charging.
