Overall the sound quality was acceptable for the price of the headset. I really was put off by the need to buy that adapter. In our modern times of using at least 720p tv's you would think they would require an adapter if you "didn't" use an HDMI cable. But really you shouldn't need to buy an adapter if you are hooking this up to an Xbox at all because it is being sold as an Xbox accessory. I just found it aggravating and it added to the expense of the headset. I would recommend this to a friend, but I would make sure they knew to shop around.

What's great about it: It was a lower price, the sound quality is good (not great), works better on PC's
What's not so great: You have to buy an adapter if you use an HDMI cable to hook up your Xbox
