We had the econo version(the all-plastic one) we we really liked, but eventually the heating element died. We replaced it with this Cuisinart and I was instantly impressed with the quality, the controls have a more solid feel to them. The only gripe that I have is a slightly awkward process of pouring the water into the resevoir, it's a narrow fit. Overall, it is my favorite coffee maker.
We also have the Cuisinart burr grinder, which we also like.

I would recommend this to a friend!
