ECHO SHOW is a MUST HAVE for Amazon Echo Fans!

When I first read about Amazon Echo Show, I thought the sound quality would be inferior to Echo because of the small size, which to me would be a deal breaker. I read that the sound is actually superior to Echo & it is compatible with most existing security cameras, so I decided to buy one. Then Best Buy ran a strong promotion if you buy 2, so I caved and bought 2. (I have a number of Echo's and 2) Echo Dots in the house).
I am completely BLOWN AWAY by Echo Show!! Here is a brief summary of thoughts:
LIKES:
1- Substantially the Best Sound Quality of any Echo to date, with stronger bass, directional stereo, Dolby Audio & focused sound field to the front. You can rock out louder, with less sound to the sides & back, so you do not share your music to all, as does the Echo.
2- The 8) Far Field microphones are more effective than Echo.
3- High resolution 7" screen is perfect for a desk or kitchen.
4- Song lyrics are great! (Free optional setting to turn on lyrics).
5- Photos of the album cover & the band on all music are awesome!
6- 3) buttons on top: Mute / Camera Defeat with red on screen indicator; Volume UP & Volume Down.
7- Excellent resolution with built-in camera.
8- Auto presence detector turns Show screen on when you are detected.
9- Speak to Alexa, just as with Echo or Dot, & Show mutes the volume & shows what you asked on the screen, with the music volume lowered in the background.
10- Ask the forecast & you get written & verbal forecast. You also get a second screen showing the next 4 days, including real feel, a picture of the anticipated weather, chance of rain, etc.
11- Say: Alexa, show me the "Front Porch", or any of the numerous security cameras & within 2 seconds, there is a highly detailed live video with sound!
12- Video conference - I do not know anyone else with Show yet, so I cannot try this but call yourself & you can see the picture they will see to adjust your surroundings.
13- Uses the same power supply as Amazon Echo.
14- Sleek shape fits right in with contemporary surroundings (see photo of Show in the center of the desk with 2) 4K monitors & iPad Pro).
15- The touch screen sensitivity is perfect.
16- Build quality is First Rate!
17- Rubber feet protect any surface & are anti - slip.
18- Addictive! More than any other device, this is one you will want in the center of your desk, as shown in my photo, because once you add the video component, you will wonder how you enjoyed music, sports, & just about everything, without it!
19- See your shopping list.
20- See visual confirmation that the lights you ask Alexa to turn on actually turned on.
DISLIKES:
NONE!
I would only offer one design option. I would offer an optional Amazon Echo Show Wireless Subwoofer for this beast, that you could buy later. It would work like the many Soundbars that include a Wireless Sub. That would allow SHOW to not only ROCK OUT, but to shake the walls at the same time!
I am seriously planning to sell some Echos & Dots to pick up a couple more Shows. They are GREAT!!

Google Home Learning Curve Grows Exponentially!

Google Home is an attractive Voice Activated Virtual Assistant. It started off with modest capabilities in a competitive field. Google has been working overtime to really juice up it's capabilities! Now it recognizes your voice and will speak your calendar / day's events, separately from everyone else's calendar & daily events! Google Home just passed it's competition in a major way!
Sound quality is great & internet searching is the BEST, no surprise, thanks to the Google search engine.

Ah, the Piece of Mind!

I bought the Extended Service Agreement for our new Washer, SideKick Washer & Dryer that we bought at Best Buy for several reasons:
1- Piece of Mind - No worries for 5 Years
2- Much Lower Cost than similar offering direct from the Manufacturer!
3- Much Longer Coverage than similar offering direct from the Manufacturer!
4-Since we bought the Top-Of-The-Line Appliances with Steam, controls on the door, etc., there are more things that could possibly go wrong. Ah, piece of mind!

Piece of Mind for our LG Dryer Protection

Premium Quality Dryer Installation!

The Geek Squad Installers were super professional, on time, polite & pleasant. They were highly skilled, and connected the Washer to the SideKick Washer & the Water inlet for Steam in the Dryer! No leaks. No scratches - they treated everything as though it was their own!
I will definitely use Best Buy's Installation Gurus at the Geek Squad again!!

High Class Installation!

I was totally blown away by the premium quality installation performed by the Geek Squad from Best Buy! They were super careful, hauled our existing appliances outside, and really took their time to get the installation right! As a result, operation of the Washer, SideKick Washer, Dryer & Pedestal under the Dryer, were perfect from the first start.

These rubber washing machine hoses are ideal for quick and easy setup of your washer.

This is the standard, Washer rubber hose kit included with a Geek Squad Installation at Best Buy. I strongly prefer Stainless Steel braided hose, so I upgraded to SS & did not use this included kit.

Having seen the damage caused by a clogged, plastic dryer vent in causing a house fire, this is an excellent solution!Besides, Best Buy will only install your dryer if they provide a rigid or semi-rigid dryer vent!

This dryer cord is required for successful hook-up of your new appliance. Our delivery personnel will determine whether a 3- or 4-prong cord is needed based on the outlet behind your existing dryer.

Solid Power Cable

This is a quality Power Cable & should be purchased when buying new laundry equipment. If Best Buy is installing your unit, read this! The Geek Squad is not allowed to connect using power cables they did not provide. So be sure & pick up a Power Cable!

Will it be possible to buy the Amazon Echos Show in Best Buy Shops from 28 June and forward? (I will do a short wisit to US but wont have an adress to ship the product to.? And will the price reduction 100 usdfor a 2nd Echo Show be availeble in the shops?
Best Buy is doing a great job of stocking Echo Show in virtually every store by Mid July, and yes - the $100 discount if you buy 2) applies in the shops (the $100 promotion is why I just bought 2) Shows).

Echo Show is instead of, or if you prefer, add this to a different room as Echo. They are stand alone devices. Both are unique, excellent devices. One has a screen, which opens up so many new possibilities...

It works directly out of the box. All you need is a WIFI connection.

can you use echo show & amazon echo in the same room? do they need to be used together? What if you all ready have a echo, do they work together?
You surely can! I am using Show, Echo & Dot in the same room, but I plan to move Echo & Dot to another room, because Show takes care of the entire room nicely.

Do you have to have amazon prime to use?
No, but Prime adds 1,000,000 songs & many other benefits - but is not required to use Echo Show.

Can you have selected photos that change or rotate as the background?
No, you can choose only one screen saver photo at this time. I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon might upgrade the firmware to accept multiple photos in the future, however.
