Works great with Surface Pro 2 / Windows 10

I bought the projector this week. Miroir's literature does not mention Windows (I'm on Windows 10) devices, but I hooked mine up to my Surface Pro 2 (using a Belkin - Mini Display Port-to-HDMI Adapter, bought separately) and it worked great! No additional software installs or messy steps to go through - it just started projecting to my wall. It works great with my Android smartphone too - again, just plugged it in and it worked. I was concerned about the lower resolution, but I was able to project Powerpoint presentations from work and they looked great. Very pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get it running and how nice the resolution was, and on a machine that's the size of my smartphone!

Verified Purchase:Yes
I got this drive to create an ISO file to install Linux on an old desktop. The product works great. Of course, the 8 gb capacity is somewhat limited. If you don't need much storage capacity, this product suffices.

Poor data speeds, unreliable, terrible support

Compatible with...:PC
I bought this product because if its great price, especially for such a large amount of storage. However, the drive failed to read an external USB port several days ago, and is now unrecognized on the network. This is after several restarts. I spent nearly 2 hours online with tech support, with the only resolution being to call their "Stage 2" support. After getting Stage 2 online, the USB drive mysteriously appeared. However, it was still unrecognized by the WD Quick View software, which I was assured would resolve after a reboot. It for awhile, but constantly loses connection. After another reboot (due to very slow transfers), neither WD's software nor my network recognize the device. I'm seriously thinking of returning this and just using a large external ED with Dropbox for online cloud service as I did before.
What's great about it: Great potential if they can fix their glitches
What's not so great: data transfer, device not recognized
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

WD fixed the problem
October 29, 2013
After elevating the case, WD's tech support was able to fix my issues on connectivity and remote access. It is now working fine, although remote access is a bit slow. This may be attributable to my broadband speeds.
