Worst Dyson I have owned
on November 8, 2015
Posted by: Dyson
I have owned about 4 or 5 Dyson's now. They have all worked well except this one. The only reason I buy new ones is because thats what I do. I like the latest and greatest. I'm a technology expert so I'm not your average Joe. I bought this one when it was first released by Best buy.
First this thing does not pick up well. I can vacuum the same area 10 times and there will still be stuff to pick up. I dont thinks its the suction, I thinks its the bottom cleaner head and brush mechanism. its supposed to adjust to your carpet height or floor. But I don't thinks it puts enough pressure down to seal in the suction. I think the ball counter acts the presure in the front. I'm not a fan of the ball either. I hate that Dyson has gone that way all together. I wish they made a top regular style model still.
Dyson expert: I have read your other responses to other people leaving low ratings. I understand the no filters to clean and never loses suction and the most advanced dyson ever. But none of that matters if it doesn't pick up properly from the cleaner head.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A professional, ISF (Imaging Science Foundation)-certified Geek Squad Agent will use precision equipment to calibrate your TV, tweaking sharpness, black levels, white levels, brightness, color temperature and more to provide the best possible picture in your home.* The Agent will also create custom presets to complement different room ambiences. This service takes about 2 hours to complete. After completing your order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that contains a redemption code. You can then schedule your appointment by calling 1-800-GEEK SQUAD (1-800-433-5778) and following the prompts for Home Theater and Installation.** Please print your Geek Squad confirmation e-mail and be ready when the Agent arrives at your chosen location.

so far won't honor money back guarantee

When we bought our LG 65" 4k TV we were told to have it calibrated to get the best possible imaging! We waited, set up an appointment and when the Geek Squad came, I mentioned how the imaging was pretty good but expected the imaging to be exceptional after they leave ! The one Geek Squad guy said the LG's have the best true imaging closest to a calibration, (while the other said "I suppose were're doing a calibration of a calibration!!) We were told that LG uses a company that makes calibration equipment and that's why their TV are so good. Well they were calibrating for almost 50 minutes and I said the TV now looks like there is a film over everything and nothing stands out like a 4K TV should!! I was told we could always go back to the original settings that came with the TV (as LG has 7 presets). Now why would we do that after paying $249.00 for a better viewing experience!! I told them over and over again that what they did looks exactly like the preset Cinema mode already set from the factory! I wanted my money back and all the 1-800 Geek Squad number insisted on was a redo and when I asked what happens if we are still not happy was told "They are the Geek Squad"!! 2nd try and same results only now the whites look grey and STILL the APS setting is clearer, sharper and more colorful that what was done!!! Perhaps different calibration equipment is needed for the new 4k TV's to get a crisper cleaner image rather than a dull Cinema mode!!
Now on the phone over an hour with a Geek Squad CSR and their manager and so far they WILL NOT GIVE ME THE 30 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE BECAUSE they say once something is installed there is no refunds BUT I ASKED WHY DOES IT SAY 30 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE RIGHT ON THE BEST BUY SITE??? and of course I get no clear explanation except that if the Geek Squad did something wrong MAYBE something could be done (but I am not holding my breath as I was also told it would take over 72 hours for a call back to answer me!! So I called the men who did the calibration now as the 800 number just offered me another re-do!!! I was then told by the men who came twice to my house once again that LG has the best right out of the box settings and honestly there is little difference with the Cinema mode and the Geek Squad calibration,so now I should go to the Store and try to get my money back!1 After spending almost $7,000 over the last 3 years I am at my wits end and hope the Store Manger stands behind the "30 day money back guarantee" So bottom line if you buy an LG the calibration is really not worth it as the presetting right out of the box are Better than calibration re-do
If I was told this straight up and not told how I NEEDED A CALIBRATION WHEN BUYING THE NEW LG 4K I could saved myself hours of pain and my gut is paying for something not needed!

Some Quick notes

I'm a high End integration professional. I've been ISF certified since 2004. I know Joel Silver very well. (Founder of ISF)
First off, Hiring Best Buy to do a calibration is like hiring a handy man to build you a house. Yes he can probably do it, but hiring a contractor that does it all the time would be smarter.
TV's at best buy and other retailers are what we call in the industry placed in "torch mode" when they are on display. They do this so it catches your eye. it looks brighter and more colorful. But it is not meant to be viewed like this in a normal setting. Calibrating a TV or projector is supposed to make it look like it was meant to be viewed by the film industry. Which is much different than what it looks like in the store. It actually lengthens the life of your TV as well. The problem is most people think a TV is going to look like it does in the store. Every room is different and that is why calibration is important. It is supposed to be calibrated to your room's brightness and environment.
That's why professionals do a day mode and a night mode.
The problem here is who ever sold you this calibration did not properly set your expectations.
